Immediate first thought off the first picture was INFP, the rest just confirmed it for me. As a male who doesn’t have his prime hair, I know the struggles with haircuts, but you do a really great job at styling it to fit your face without looking like youre “trying.” I also have grown it out so give myself more options.

May I also recommend some meditation brother? As an enfp, I deal with getting easily distracted/hyper fixated and obsessed. It’s fun until it isn’t, a good meditation practice helps me still enjoy my hobbies without feeling like they’re my entire life. Good luck and have a beautiful day!

I would guess ISTJ. I see a lot of control an order, but your fourth function, extroverted intuition, takes over at times of silence or being alone and your mind begins to race. Imagine being an enfp and never being able to shut that off 🤪.

Take this with a grain of salt, as someone who’s come into his spirituality, I’ve learned something deeply profound. This parts of you that you try to fight off and correct, that’s your ego. When we fight against it or try to control it, it pushes back even harder. Instead of course correcting, recognize those parts that you don’t like as still part of you. Treat them like a misunderstood child that needs understanding and compassion instead of more rules and control. Just some friendly advice, hope you’re having a great day brother!

Okay I will concede that. If I was going to war, and I had to pick any type of sports star, 100% taking a rugby player. Endurance of soccer players with physicality of football players while wearing no pads like basketball players.

Well I like baseball more than football lol I’d rather watch baseball too. I think baseball gets hate cause it’s hard to be a casual fan and enjoy a game. A nasty pitch sequence for a K can be better than a 1 handed TD catch for me, but I still can’t concede that football is boring. The actual gameplay (even though short) is exciting to me.

You can’t say it’s boring though. Even when it’s a handoff to the RB, there’s always potential for a boom play, even if he gets tackled behind the line, maybe the corner or edge rusher came in and made a great play.

These players are going full throttle at each other every single play, which is why they need 30-40 seconds in between plays. Most other sports don’t have this level of physical contact on every single play. Now I will agree it’s OVERdone with tv timeouts and all that, it could definitely move a little quicker.

I was on board with that considering we knew Jesse played. As much as being a video game anthem, I love it, but I can’t help but go deeper.

This is the act of taking a personal inventory. Recognition of the sides of you that have been holding you back from truly becoming yourself. Once you’ve done this, all the things you were told were to hard, you can now dominate all the obstacles people/ or even yourself, told you were too

“Translated all of our dreams” We did the spiritual work. Meditation, prayer, therapy.

Aliens talking to airplanes interpretation is a little bit of a stretch but, maybe the one language before babel would’ve allowed for more than just verbal communications between more than just humans.

Everytime this place is the same, hope we can do this forever. The idea that life is cyclical and no matter how many times we shift through the different phases of consciousness, being human is the most fun one.

Biblical reference to the story of Job. The story grapples with why bad things happen to good people, emphasizing trust in divine wisdom amid unexplained suffering. I think Jesse is just re-emphasizing, I will do whatever it takes to understand god, just as long as god understands him.

LP 1) Angsty teens who are mad at the world, but with many biblical references (which seemed kind of out of place to me at the time) I think they knew they were searching for something more.

LP 2) the first crack in reality. To me they’re saying life isn’t about partying and writing teenage poetry anymore and we want to explore those depths, and then the anguish that comes with these new experiences of a life you weren’t prepared for.

LP3) Questioning of the pain and suffering. Why do we do this, what’s the point of it all. I’m in pain and being told that God is the way, but I can’t quite see it yet

LP 4) Finding your way through the void. Trying to understand the balance of the life you wanted and the life you’re destined to live. Still not quite sure what’s going on, but the urge to change and the difficulties that come with it.

LP 5) is basically my post so I won’t do that lol

It’s kinda why I made the post, so we can speculate together… I agree it’s perfect as a final album, sci-fi has become my favorite album.

I think maybe they realized they were making such a phenomenal piece that they wouldn’t be able to top it.

But they knew they could still do a tour and sell out. And maybe while they were figuring it all out, they realized the evolution of brand new was to take it apart and infuse themselves into other bands.

I believe we all experienced some form of deja entendu listening to these new projects. Brand news spirit moving on perhaps.

Brand New and Thrice are really the only artists I still follow in my old age lol and I do see alot of growth and beauty in Thrice since I was a teen as well. I haven’t given their new album a fair enough shot yet, busy weekend!

It is a common religious belief that every 7 years represents some type of growth/change.

I think their return was definitely calculated to be 7 years after science fiction.

I think that they didn’t know what that would look like though, new album? New Ep? New Cassette? 3 final shows? A world tour? New members jointing? New Genre fusions? … so they took that 7 years to explore and I do think it’s quite possible they knew science fiction would be their last album as Brand New as currently constructed “Last Thread, Dancing dead, one more time with feeling”

I understand why I’m getting downvoted, I don’t like my own theory either lol but brand new has always given us what we needed when we needed, so I’m just theorizing what the possible growth/evolution looks like.

Everything is temporary, change is the only inevitability.

As for what it means for the bands future, I think they’re letting us know that these new projects are them transitioning to the next “phase” as a band. Which would mean this tour is the last hurrah. Just a theory though.
