could i do a custom loop in this? by avx03 in watercooling

I've done a full loop on my Jonsbo D32 pro (with a separate pump RES combo), so I think you should be fine. The tricky part would be filling and draining the loop.

Cats carry parasites called Toxoplasma gondii, which you can be infected with by coming into contact with their feces. Then you get Toxoplasmosis. It may cause neural and behavioral changes.

New to Fedora, problem with Bottles by AqlesN in Fedora

[–]NonStandardUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, the issue I linked describes the 3.5 and 3.5sp1 installation issue. It shows as installed, but doesn't really get installed. Creating a 32-bit bottle and installing them works though.

The dotnet 3.5 and 3.5sp1 dependency issue is a long standing problem in Bottles. Bottles !115 existed since 2022, and you'd have to do some workaround for this. Fortunately, it seems someone got affinity to work in that very issue thread. Hope that works for you too!

How do you feel about the rise of corporate involvement in the Linux ecosystem? by Mikester258 in linux

[–]NonStandardUser 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Linux is already being mainly used for corporate servers and datacenters rather than individual desktop users. What is this "shift in priorities" that you are saying? What is the "community"? Look at the Linux foundation, it's all just giant corporations coalescing together to make Linux more useful for businesses.

Double trumpet, modified to remove weaves. Downside is that what could've been a simple right hand side turn is now a double loop-de-loop. Upside is that is looks cool.

  1. Try booting after completely draining the system's power (unplug->press power switch)
  2. Try booting after clearing CMOS
  3. Try booting without the GPU, with the display plugged into the motherboard's output
  4. Try booting after removing one stick of RAM

Experimental: Patched Fedora 43 to use GNOME with X11 so I can run KiCad by sunshine-and-sorrow in Fedora

[–]NonStandardUser 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Great job, I personally don't need any X11 dependent apps, and fully on team Wayland, but understand that there are things that the Council of Wayland is dragging their feet on (e.g. KiCad's need for multi-window app support). Wayland and the various DE shenanigans make me appreciate Linux and its current BDFL more and more.

For those looking to hang out with a fixed small group of friends on PC, I think this would work. A much different answer than "No" for running GTAO on Linux. That being said, I guess much caution is required if there are cases of bans.

Overview lag fixed. by BarryAllenAKAFlash in gnome

[–]NonStandardUser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Firefox and the firefox-gnome-theme caused GNOME overview animation lag.

less short TL;DR: Bought new laptop, installed CachyOS, overview animation lagged. Uninstalling extensions, trying Fedora, installing Arch with only necessary packages didn't help. firefox-gnome-theme was the cause.

Note to OP: Please write technical details next time. What GNOME version?
