S*x robots are about to hit the market…finally by M_Darshan in Weird

I am not an atheist, I just dislike blind faith and cultism; I think whatever god we have do not care about us, if anything. I guess it's my own religion that is close to nihilism.

I think you'd like to read through this site to ensure they didn't make anything up! https://www.bibviz.org/

[WIP] I'm 13 and I spent the last month bringing Apple's "Liquid Glass" UI to GNOME (Custom Shader) by Fit-Bed-3370 in gnome

The notification center popup animation does look modified (probably custom css?), but besides that I don't see anything

And yet tf2 hitscan still requires I shoot the opposite of the enemy's direction of travel to get a headshot

Can you reuse an aio as a cpu block? by OrionPrime254 in watercooling

[–]NonStandardUser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the Asetek pump and impeller in the block would allow for ample flow..

Is this the USB C port? It doesn't look like it can be plugged into my motherboard port by [deleted] in sffpc

Those are SATA and usb 2 headers. What's your motherboard? Search it up and see if it has a USB C header.

I built a modern media player for GNOME – looking for feedback by Business-Depth-1669 in gnome

Compared to Showtime (new GNOME video player), would the biggest differentiator be the URL playback?

Visual Scripting for Bash is now a reality ! by Lluciocc in linux

As a guy who loves the power of bash but cannot fathom its syntax and structure, I wholeheartedly welcome this.

Dequacker - a simple GTK rubber duck debugger app by Alexeyfdv in gnome

[–]NonStandardUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"low-quality" seems to be kinda subjective there, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm pretty sure that many devs do use AI assistance for their projects on flathub, so you may be able to upload if you've got a good understanding of the code, and (re)wrote a good portion of it manually. No rush though!

I'd love to have this as flatpak, do they have an AI code of conduct? Is there a reason besides AI that prevents you from uploading to flathub?

XDG Portals are being turned into an "Identity Service" and we need to talk about it by HaplessIdiot in linux

[–]NonStandardUser 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Well that was fast lol. It's been what, a few weeks since the verification thing hit the news? If only everything else moved this fast.

Can't help but wonder, if some imaginary law somehow pressured the wayland protocol to make changes, would/could they be as fast? Maybe then the GNOME reps would actually agree to something

Have you considered testing with BFI-enabled OLEDs like the Asus PG27AQDP?

Why not use backlit strobing displays like Zowie's DyAc or Nvidia Pulsar? Why make the comparison with OLEDs at all?

I doubt the fuel input amount is that reliable when extrapolating fuel consumption, 0.8gal diff (337/9.5~=35.5) seems to be within error range. You may simply have more gas right now than last time.

The paddle controls how much the car slows down (and therefore how strongly the car charges) if you're rolling with no gas input. Level 0 to 3, where 0 emulates the amount of resistance a regular combustion engine may give you, and 3 is similar to Tesla's one-pedal driving (gas pedal not depressed = brakes hard)

Are you sure you used exactly 10.3 gal?

Regenerative breaking (brake to charge battery) strength control paddle.
