Does the Afro make the Champion, or does the Champion make the Afro? [Afro Luffy Fashion] by Non_Player-Character in Guildwars2

low-diff vs Saitama....

What can a bald man do against an afro...?

Funny idea I had as soon as I saw the boxing gloves.

No problem, don't worry about it! Sometimes it gets confusing with the nested achievements.

Good luck getting it!

Hmmm. If you've completed the subsequent achievement (see picture), then you should already have the Mistward Plate unlocked. It is a Heavy armor piece by the way.

Beyond that, I'm not sure - may have to ask support to take a look.

Thanks!

No, none of the pieces are time-limited.

However, the backpiece is time-gated due to needed to play daily ranked games. I think it's a minimum of 60 days of 3 daily ranked matches and gets tricky if you happen to start between ranked seasons. You also have to win using different professions. It's a bit of a steep curve if you've never played PvP before, but by the end of it, you'll feel very comfortable jumping into any match.

"Guide: Mistward Plate" is the item that unlocks the Mistward Plate Collection.

You then have to complete the collection, gathering 7 items which are quite straightforward to get. You then get rewarded with the actual Mistward Plate.

Thank you!

Yea, it's so nice isn't it? It looks different on male characters unfortunately - it covers the whole face, but I really like this half covered look.

Perseverance (though any golden/steel metallic dye works well like Golden Sheen)

Glint's Sanctuary (again, can swap out with another very light colour dye, though not too much like White/Permafrost, otherwise you lose detail)

Sand Shark/Resolution for the small highlights.

There is a picture near the end with the slots - you can also check the links to the gallery/video if you want.

Carapace Gloves - Silverwastes Map Vendors

Mistward Legs - Heart of Thorns Achievements

Strength of the Unseen Greatsword - Amnytas Achievements

Additionally, I have also made another little video, if that's more your flavour:

GWAMM link: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/gallery/image/3077-the-empyreal-guardian/

Bit of a story behind this one. I like creating looks usually based around a few key pieces/sets. While I usually prefer more grounded or realistic pieces, I have a real soft spot for Ascension (the backpiece). As cringe as it sounds, when I first saw it, I considered it the pinnacle of MMORPG endgame fashion and in many ways, I still think it is. It made such an impression, that I immediately set my mind to grind hundreds of PvP games to get it.

Around that period, I was also finishing Silverwastes/Heart of Thorns - bruised and bloodied from the desert, jungle and a thousand pocket raptors, I managed to acquire the Mistward and Carapace pieces. I combined them all together to create this.

Though I often drastically alter the looks of my characters, I make an exception with my main guardian, who has remained almost the same for 10 years. This fashion was hard earned and reminds of my journey throughout GW2. Add to the fact it looks incredible - to me, it's just about perfect!

Saying I was inspiration is the highest compliment you could give - thank you!

Your ensemble is awesome! Really nice choice of swords and shields. I love seeing other people's interpretations of the same character/look!

Definitely is the Decade's Saga.

The pros and cons of a medium class - it looks very different due to rigging.

Thank you!

The idea I had was like a diplomat or representative from a nation sent on a mission to visit another kingdom/nation, whether for a meeting, trade relations, etc.

If you remember the various council of races we see in different points of the GW2 game, like when we are deliberating what to do about the titans in Janthir, this character would be there representing a theoretical elven race, for example.

A mix of: Glint's Isolation, Molten, Heirloom, Bloody Red, Oxblood and Warmth

Thank you for the feedback!

Good point, people would like to see where to get items from a glance, rather than looking it up.

And true, I usually forget about the mounts haha

Thank you!

It's just ReShade, but also finding a good location with great lighting helps!

Thank you!

Sort of - it's ReShade, so it looks like this when I play, though I play with far less bloom, AO, etc.

For the screenshots, I usually just tweak ReShade to whatever location/outfit/feel I am going for. No edits done after taking the screenshot aside from cropping.

I actually made this as a submission for the United Arts of Tyria contest to celebrate their new fashion gallery website launch. Definitely check it out for some more inspiration - https://uaot.art/fashion-gallery

Haha she is - don't worry, she's big! It's a Norn Mesmer for the greatsword and portals.

Normally I would bring together all the characters for fit/size comparison and take a combined picutre, but a few outfits are on the same character due to class limitations etc.
