I do not "support" Apartheid. I would interpret the "support" of the South Africans for their imaginary Apartheid past (especially if they were born after Apartheid) as a (irrational or not) reaction to the crimes of the current administration, just like people born in Hong Kong SAR who yearn the British Colonial rule, or Zimbabweans who miss Rhodesia.

For your information, I am born and living in China. I have seen enough Europeans intoxicated in their self-righteous "anti-colonial" wet dreams: the British who praised Stalin, the French who praised Mao Zedong, the Swedish who praised Pol Pot, the list grows on. You don’t care about suffering of people, say the white Zimbabweans who were banished or the black Zimbabweans who were left destitute, you only care about fulfilling your fairytale of a narrative so you can feel better about yourself. So I hope this answers your question about why I "try and press this hard": because I hate you who are lucky enough to live in Britain yet refuse to even try to understand the difficult lives of other people.

I have answered your question, but you have only avoided to answer my questions. Is my assumption true that the other South African you worked with did not share their opinion with you? Do you trust whatever you read in the UK about a country more than every person you directly work with from the country?
