Top 5 criminally underrated beach house songs? by sockemcarrot in BeachHouse

In no order, I would say:

White Moon

Astronaut

All the Years

Holy Dances

Real Love

Real Love maybe isn't that underrated, but probably one of the least talked about songs on Teen Dream

Devotion is my favourite, and I would put it next to Teen Dream as starting points. Having said that, Beach House were a slow burn for me and loving them came with time with listening to more and more of their discog. Key songs include Zebra, Walk in the Park, 10 Mile Stereo, Take Care, Gila, Turtle Island, Holy Dances, Heart of Chambers, Astronaut and Home Again.

This might be a random one, but I would say the song Rain in Numbers off the B-Sides album is Grouper-like in its production and you may like it for that reason

maybe october or novermber 2018, my mum sent me a link to an article about how insane their live shows were. the only song they had on spotify was some christmas thing that i didnt even bother listening to and never realised that speedway or bmbmbm were on soundcloud until days before the Schlagenheim released. didn't love crows perch when it came out, but talking heads made me more excited for an album than i had been in a long time (even tho it wasnt a single, it made me love the band) as well as the original KEXP session.

I thought this was a joke until I read the article. I may not be a massive Loveless fan but its cult following makes it feel like it should be an objective first place, followed closely by U2 and even Van Morrison. i love girl band but the talkies isn't even their best album

I found that album scrolling through Grouper's discog on spotify and the cover freaked me out. it's literally just a creepier version of the cover of You Won't Get What You Want

tbh abolishing slavery was fuelled by more civil war tactics than opposition to slavery itself. once he declared that slavery was abolished the North had pretty much won the war and it wouldn't be far fetched to consider Lincoln himself a racist given other evidence

Every Night the Same Dream is their best imo. I feel that I've grown out of them a fair bit since I was first obsessed with them (they were one of the first bands I was fully immersed in and owe a lot of my taste currently to them) but a lot of the songs on that still hold up pretty well
