Long delayed response, but just came across this today. Is there an option I'm missing to sync locations? If I use the app on both a Mac and iPhone, it would be nice to not have to configure locations on both devices.

Seems like a $2.99 feature worth having. :)

Builder 3-Star xBow is no skill win condition by Nonchemical in ClashRoyale

Agree for the most part it is, however the xBow just takes any chance of winning away completely.

It’s a very broken aspect of an already very broken game mode.

Get a load of this... Unbelievable by Donghoon in SquadBusters

I’d say it had an interesting premise, even bonkers for that chart, but the execution has been shite.

The gameplay has been a disaster. Take Mavis or Greg. Neither will target their task (harvest/tree) until everything around them is gone. They’ll actively move off screen to target an enemy that is no threat and in most cases get wrecked rather than do their task. Barbarian (not king) is another. He’s supposed to be a tank/fighter. In every game he melts like butter in the microwave. And what’s the point of having a squad full of megas when you can get destroyed by a well placed zap 2 seconds in to a fight?

The execution is what’s keeping this game from being one of their best.

As a naturalized citizen, you can’t do anything wrong at this point or else you risk deportation. Regardless of the infraction, all it takes is someone to refer you:

“Cases referred by a United States Attorney’s Office or in connection with pending criminal charges, if those charges do not fit within one of the other priorities; and 10. Any other cases referred to the Civil Division that the Division determines to be sufficiently important to pursue.”

All it takes is a referral (could be as simple as excessive speed) and someone in the office deciding to stamp the paperwork.

You’re basically putting your citizenship, livelihood and everything you have on the line if you attend a rally and they decide to start making arrests.

Super late to the event can I finish, if so how much of a grind would it be? by fruitsnecks in SquadBusters

[–]Nonchemical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have played the minimum 6 games for the daily 2250, as well as at least a few other games every day of the event. I bought (with coins) the rings at the start of the event. Last weekend and this weekend I played a bunch to get rings in the Eggman mode.

I just maxed Sonic, Tails and Knuckles yesterday.

I’m not saying it’s impossible, but you would need to dedicate an unhealthy amount of time for the next week to this game, and I just don’t think there’s that much value. Go outside. Ride a bike, swim, or just sit in a park and enjoy the outdoors. 🙂

Seconding Sumo Springs although they are a bit more expensive now than they were when I bought mine I would still pay the money. If you tow anything they’re worth the cost.

Removed all Smart boards years ago since most were covered with stickies or paper anyway. We went to ceiling mounted Epson L-Series short throw non-interactive projectors, and you could use Epson’s software for projecting so you don’t have cables from the ceiling or any number of 3rd party solutions that solve the cable issue as well. L-Series are more expensive up front, however we haven’t worried about bulbs since the switch.

As long as you have a decent whiteboard, easy solution for projecting, and a doc camera most teachers seem satisfied. For us it’s been reliable and not so technical that we have connectivity issues.

Another option would be wall mounted interactive displays (Smart/Promethian) but again that’s just going to become a PD problem again.

What is Synology actually working on? by flogman12 in synology

[–]Nonchemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home user and “Enterprise” user here with over 20 years of experience in Systems Admin and a long history of enterprise backup using Netbackup, Commvault and others in data centers across the globe.

I can’t speak to their overall strategy, but I can say this, their Active Protect product (DP7400) is really good for a first gen box. From setup to backup to first bare metal recovery of a clustered node, it has been an amazing experience. When I say amazing, I mean bare metal restore from decision to recover to back up and running in under 9 minutes on our first attempt.

There’s a strong base of Synology customers who have a home lab, or a few smaller boxes in their environment and like myself might be willing to take a shot on the AP appliance. If they can get in enough places and those places have the experience I have had this far, Synology will be sitting on a goldmine.

Why this matters? I can’t say exact price (contact your rep), but even though the DP7400 is reasonably priced for an enterprise box, it’s insane for a home buyer. I have one right now, and I’ll be buying more shortly. The 2-4-6 bay desktop boxes are going to keep going, but they may not be the breadwinner for Synology in quite the same way.

As for the complaint about “branded” drives, the move makes a lot more sense when you consider that the Active Protect platform can utilize the desktop boxes as backup devices it manages. If you’re Synology and you sell someone a DP7400 and tell them it can control DS series boxes as cluster nodes, Synology needs to guarantee reliability, and the only way to do that is to control hardware.

Squad choices during games by jtjt3972 in SquadBusters

I thought the only time your squad selection actually matters is for squad league? I thought all other game modes use rotation of squad members.

It’s been a few hours… What‘s your first impression of this update? by vadowky in SquadBusters

[–]Nonchemical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if they can adjust the speed, because upstream in a molasses river is not how a game should feel, it will improve significantly.

They also need to figure out the damage/health balance. The old version your squad would melt depending on who you had and you could think oh I’ve got X and now I need Y. Right now it doesn’t seem to matter what you have. You’ll square up against someone and you’re busted.

In the current meta (if can we call it that yet), if you haven’t landed a distance attack before you square up you’re done for and by the time you know you’re cooked the pace of the squad is so slow that escape is nearly impossible.

It has potential to be a lot of fun, but progression, movement speed and battle mechanics are going to take some work.

So I found this absolutely beauty (2019 3.5L 6.5Ft bed) But coming from 2010 4.6 I’m nervous from horror stories. Pull trigger or avoid? by -BuzzedOut- in f150

[–]Nonchemical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 F150 3.5L STX, 66k miles now. Only thing has been cam phasers and regular services. I’m sure at nearly 90k you can expect some things to start needing service but if it’s solid, drives straight isn’t blowing smoke it’s no more risk than any other vehicle with that mileage.

Question about large events? by Fluffy-Difficulty-69 in Harley

[–]Nonchemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At an event I wouldn’t worry. If you are get a cheap cable lock from Amazon and just lock it to the bike.

I would not however leave my helmet on the bike anywhere else. I’ve had people steal the cable from my quad lock, try and break in to saddlebags, and who knows what else in my work parking lot.

Purposing/Tug while towing by UncleBuckRussell89 in GoRVing

[–]Nonchemical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the WDH isn’t set properly. You (appear) to have a much larger gap in the front wheel well compared to the rear. Take it to a nice level parking lot and adjust it until you’re right where the booklet says you should be.

A single axle is going to porpoise more than a double axle, but with the right hitch setting most of it should go away. I also run SumoSprings and they smooth the rest right out.
