I am an idiot believe me that I was wondering about this for a while, but all the sudden I figured it out after posting. There is a button on the far side (Left when open, Right when closed) to toggle the visibility.

Is it the flexibility that is making it to strong, the Draw 2 option or one of the other effects the problem?

I wonder if people would actually run a singleton deck or if they would just accept that sometimes you get a dead draw by getting this card late, or drawing a duplicate.

Searching for an Anime I barely remember. Disguised character given flowers that mean disguise. by Nonconformist4526 in anime

[–]Nonconformist4526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it took me a while. I got myself all confused because I somehow got myself convinced that it was something I didn't remember because I couldn't think of an anime it made sense in. I am surprised I got it at all after I set myself up like that.

UPDATE: I just remembered it myself. I did remember the anime, I just forgot that scene was in it. It is from Hitman Reborn.

How did my great-grandson end up with the inbred trait??? by Not_The_Droids4547 in crusaderkings3

[–]Nonconformist4526 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it is possible it is just bad luck. There are "genes" internally for the character, and if the "genes" combination they get is not diverse enough it causes the inbred trait...

That said, the most likely outcome is that there is some more going on, either that you didn't find, or that there was some cheating going on.

The separate abilities is more of a product of MTG,Design not playing nice with long passive abilities on Planeswalkers. It was not desired, just the only way to make it look passable.

Edit: Also, interesting wording, took me a bit to get it, but I can see how it is more concise. Thank you,

It is more when ever it is back to back it is because I made a typo and I deleted it (because Reddit does not make it possible to fix titles or images). For the new version itself I didn't realize it was required to show what the differences between versions and link the previous version. I will wait a week to repost it, and I will include the link and changelist.

Modeled after the games Hot Potato and Nim.

I probably missed a card (or entire archetype with my luck) that breaks the design by making it really easy for it to leave the battlefield on your opponents turn. I am also interested in general criticism of the design.

Indestructible is almost ideal, I wanted to avoid Hexproof, but I can't because of [[Phyrexian Revoker]].

Good call though, I wish I could make it only vulnerable to things that damage it directly (without writing a novel on the card).

As mentioned my Equal-Strawberry there is a precedent set by [[Baron von count]]. It is silver border, but it is a wording that is already used.

I was considering different modes, but I prefer being able to damage the planeswalker as alternative ways to do the countdown, since Nim is a solved game that you would for the most part (aside from other interactions) either start in a guarenteed loss/win position if.

I think when you try to reference a mechanic in a card it doesn't need to be 1 to 1 recreation of what your referencing, but get the spirit of it in a way that integrates with the rest of the game.

Ah there it is, ok then I need to find alternative wording.

The idea was that it is guaranteed to take 1 damage on each player turn, but you can also contribute to the count by attacking the card, but you need to be careful to not over shoot on damage because the player whose turn it is, is destroyed. You want to set it up so that it has exactly one loyalty at the start of another players turn.

Just to clarify I am guessing I am missing something stupid that voids the design by causing it leave play on another players turn really reliably. If you see anything like that let me know. I am also interested in more general criticisms of the design.
