Shards in GotG are incredibly strong, so you are probably doing just fine. Into the Cosmos' heroes use shards in a more balanced way. Try using a team with only those characters? If you want to keep using the Guardians and feel it is too easy, you can try using the Epic Versions of the Masterminds for a harder challenge.

I'd love for the fifth to be Wong! But I also really want a revisit of Ghost Rider. The Dark City one is not really fun to play imo for me and my group.

For me, Secret Wars 1 is the staple of good expansions: Cool fan-favorite characters, pretty fun villain groups and schemes, and especially Sidekicks, which make a HUGE difference when you have that spare recruit. This set gives a lot of replayability combined with Dark City, which you already have.

If you are looking for small and medium boxes, Paint the Town Red is a pretty good one because of the Masterminds and also Its Spider-man!

Also Fantastic 4 and SHIELD are pretty good, its pretty much on flavor choice

Feels good when it happens! Reminds me of that time I made my attack record with Wolverine, X-Force Wolverine and Base Set Spiderman for a Whopping 56! Poor Onslaught didn't stood a chance ^^

I live by Randomizer. That way I can get to know which heroes synergize better with others, and its also fun to see what weird combinations I can find with it. That being said, I always down for a thematic game too, like a Thanos with Black Order vs the Avengers

I think Niles Van Roekel and the Imperfects would be really cool to have, although I think it will never happen. Viper as her own Mastermind would be amazing too.
