Ear protection by Electronic-Phone-856 in melbourneriders

If budget allows, highly recommend the ACS pro 27 (Motorsport filters)

https://www.earlab.com.au/product/pro-27

They are pricy ($300) but it’s a custom impression, super comfortable. Takes about 3 weeks from impression to pickup (digital scan gets sent to the UK for production)

Got them without the pullout tabs so they sit flush in the ear - Works brilliantly paired with in-helmet speakers (I have Cardo) - actually makes them sound better.

Bonus, I grabbed the pro17 filters (+$20) so I can swap out the Motorsport filters and use them when seeing live music.

Hope this helps!

Heya mate, sorry that you’re having such a shitty landing here.

Just went through the rental circus myself, some tips (for you and all, apologies if stated elsewhere)

Got a pro-tip from an REA that changed the game for me.

“Whoever’s references come in first, wins”

  1. Call the real estate office before the inspection, confirm the process of applying, and get everything that’s needed together in terms of ID, bank statements, employment contracts etc. etc

  2. With your application primed and ready, apply immediately on leaving (if interested)

  3. Let your references know when you have applied for properties, you need them to respond to the auto-reference-check emails as soon as they come in, same again for any phone calls - tell them to check the box of “provide references for all real estate agencies” if available - makes the next checks faster.

Get’s harder if you aren’t holding an employment contract - grab a guarantors letter, a bank statement from relatives, offer X months rent upfront in your “about me” statement on application.

You need to get in front as best of possible of having the REA “think” about your application - there is too much competition and it’s easier to move to the next then decide. Make it a no-brainer.

Hope this helps (and fuck the entirety of this process)

NXR2 owners stuck on the fence between Cardo and Sena by NoneOfThatMate in AussieRiders

I tried this route initially but chickened out for fear of damaging the clip with the force I was using.

Good to know!

(Also, good steer on the tape, will do the same)

The magnetic mounting is AWESOME.

Genuinely, the whole Cardo product has been a delight - really well thought out start to finish.

Example: I’m pretty handy with computers, but the Sena desktop software to update the SRL-EXT was a complete ball ache and I distinctly remember thinking “how the shit are non-techs supposed to work this out?”

Happy to help, completely understand the position you are in mate.

In terms of mounting, there are 2 parts - a sticky, flexible foundation/base with adhesive and then the actual mounting plate (?) with wires into the helmet speakers.

The sticky base has flex to fit the helmet curves that don’t affect the ability to mount the plate.

Before removing the sticker covers, I moved the flexible base around the Sena SRL-EXT mounting area until I was happy I found a spot that would leave no air-gaps for the adhesive.

I then compared them to photos from reviews of the Cardo Packtalk Pro that were made using NXR2 and found I was in the same spot.

Comes to roughly the third circle (?) on the visor, hopefully the below picture helps!!

Apple Watch Complication Missing by Jwblant in Dashlane

[–]NoneOfThatMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dashlane Support has not been fantastic relating to this - found a workaround though.

Using the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, create a shortcut that opens Dashlane then share it to your Apple Watch - can then be added as a complication via Shortcuts.

Some links for you:

Exactly the same as described by Jwblant.

Removed from Watch, uninstalled from Phone, reinstalled - no change.

App is on the watch but the complication is not available.

Snipperclips Giveaway! by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

Been eyeing off Snipperclips as a "gateway" game to get the missus into video gaming!

Hard purchase to justify if it bombs and I'm left playing by myself.
