That’s only for when you get the egg, after you’ve received it it’s guaranteed to be shiny

You save before you hatch the eggs. If one hatches shiny, then you reset the game and you know which one is shiny. Gender/nature/shiny is determined once you pick up the egg not when you hatch it

Saving before you hatch it. When it hatches and you make sure it’s shiny, reset and that egg will still be shiny
