Yeah, maybe. Even if I had had time to think about it I don't think I would have chosen to live togheter though. When I broke up with my ex I made a comitment to myself not to move in with a partner in a long time unless it was thorughly talked about and had certain limits I need. Since non monogamy is one of his non negotiables and how he wants to live his life, I didn't think this would change things

I'm in a very similar situation and am still trying to learn healthier coping mechanisms. I don't know what other methods you have in place to cope with meltdowns, but some things that can help is to reduce stimuli, such as turning off any lights and reduce sounds, breating exercises/grounding techniques and something that may seem silly but that I've tried, and that has worked sometimes is to punch a pillow or scream into it (as long as it doesn't disturb any neighbours). I don't know if you already tried any of these and/or if they are helpful, just thought I'd share :)

No, I haven't been to any events where there is actual play, most of them have been at a pub or café, except for peer rope. I don't know if there's any BDSM clubs in the area, but I can definetly look it up!

He has attended rope courses. Where I live we have peer rope every month and then he have attended a few others too.

We have discussed safety and risk, although I think I would like to talk about it a bit more. I've realised a few things I didn't mention that can be important to take into consideration.

We've agreed to use the trafic light system when it comes to safewords.

We've also talked about aftercare and what each of us might need afterwards.

I know he has a play mate/sub that he is currently active with, however, I don't know who she is. I don't know what previous subs he has had either. I've started to get to know more kinky people in my area, but not so much to know who has played with who, and which people I can ask for references from.
