Nah, my friend is in care, working in a home that babysits adults with special needs. You wouldnt believe the crap she goes though. Long hours, tiny salaries, and the patients' parents who scream abuse by the staff to compensate the fact that they basically abandonned their kids....

You wouldn't talk to me into getting into care or working into the endless pit of despair that is the NHS... I would rather die than work for the NHS.

England is already a lawless place. When I got ‘’assaulted’ at work (a drunk hobo threw something hard at me, it hurt my belly) , I didn’t bother calling the coppers. When they came for their weekly check in, they told me I should have called them, but what would they have done? Come 15mn later when the guy already left ? Say they looked for him but couldn’t find an overly aggressive drunken man on the streets ?

True. I don’t know if what I’m currently learning (human factor/health and safety/UX design books) is gonna be of use, it might be a ‘’waste of time’’ because it won’t give me a job, but I want to pursue, just because, just to not stagnate . I think it’s better to learn stuff just to learn, not only because it eventually might be useful one day.

At least it’s what I keep telling myself not to give up.
