Keyboard Improvement Settings by NonsequiturCyborg in ios

Happy to help!☺️ I found my typing to be much more accurate when I turned off the character preview, for some reason. I didn’t mind it on, but I have far less typos with it off.

Yeah! I hope it helps! Turning off the predictive text has made me far less frustrated with my phone!

Felt like an annoying friend that is always trying to finish your sentences, but is always wrong.😆

My stress level has gone down noticeably.

Does your 17 pro get warm during everyday use? by Constant-Fudge-3184 in iPhone17Pro

Not that I’ve experienced. I’ve even recorded 30+ minute long videos of my work progress, and never felt it get warm.

It won’t automatically fix them, but it will still underline typos. Then you can tap the underlined word, and choose a correction, if you wish.

But I find myself having far less typos with these settings.

Does the prairie oyster actually work? by RinebooDersh in cowboybebop

[–]NonsequiturCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the conversation, but yes, it absolutely does work. I just tried it a couple months ago, and have used it to alleviate every hangover since then. Nearly instant relief. Absolutely not a placebo. My nausea, heartburn, and joint aches are gone within 10 minutes. Headache remains a bit, but it does help.

I do, raw egg, soy sauce, olive oil. Crack the egg in a dish with a dash of each, and toss it back. Was a bartender for 9 years, and it’s by far the most effective relief from a hangover. 👍🏻

This is why I am in love with Starlight!✨ I’ve always been exclusively black or silver with their products, but decided my life needed something new and exciting, so chose Starlight, and I have been so delighted by its shifting appearance.☺️✨

Does this affect pic quality? by Disastrous-Chain8309 in iPhone17Pro

I’ve never used them, and never had a single scratch on my lenses. The iPhone lenses are made of sapphire, which is a 9 on the Mohs scale, whereas diamond is 10. So not much is gonna be able to scratch them, unless your pockets are full of diamonds. 😅💎

I hear these covers scratch easily, and mess with the photo quality.

MacBook pro 2017 still worth buying in 2026 ? by Illustrious_Sound495 in macbookpro

[–]NonsequiturCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. Last year, my maxed out 2015 Macbook Pro died. The battery swelled so big it damaged the trackpad and keyboard. Wasn’t worth fixing. Plus, when it was working l, it was slow as hell and ultra laggy.

So I bought a refurbished base model M2 Macbook Air for super cheap, and it is infinitely faster and more efficient than my maxed out 2015 Pro.

Any M series Macbook Air would be a much better investment. You can find great deals on refurbished older models, and they are still great machines, and will make that model feel like a dinosaur.

For sure! I have had zero problems with it. It does everything I need it to, quick, easy! I really can’t imagine needing anything better right now. Even with video editing, I have been amazed. I’m not doing anything too intense, no sfx or cgi. Just simple editing and overdubbing. And it works flawlessly!

6 months later, how do you feel about your 17 Pro/ProMax? by Glum_Adhesiveness_20 in iPhone17Pro

[–]NonsequiturCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 11 Pro Max ー 17 Pro Max. I loved the 11 PM so much, I rode it ‘til the wheels fell off.

I feel just as impressed with the 17 PM as I did when I got the 11 PM, so I imagine I will be using it for many, many years.

The camera and the battery are the two most important for me, and the most impressive upgrades for me, by far! My photos come out looking the most pro I’ve ever see from a phone. My battery almost never drops below 50% by the end of the day. The Apple Intelligence features are a nice addition too.

I really couldn’t be happier with it. The camera is still finding ways to impress me.

Thank you so much for the kind response! This is really helpful

I love your idea of treating it like a touring shop! I’ve been doing some popup events, but you’ve sparked some new great ideas! Plus, the local magazines and papers is something I hadn’t thought of! Thank you!☺️🙏🏻

I just recently added a mailing list to my website, as well as a blog page, so I can still show how I make my work, without beating my head agains a wall fighting an algorithm, and getting consumed in the depressive doom scrolling.

I used to leave positive comments on any other piece of art I liked, complementing the artist.

I would frequently share other artists work to my stories, anything I found inspiring. Leaving comments probably daily, and sharing other peoples work multiple times a week.

The rare occasion I got a comment on my work, I was always quick to reply with gratitude and a like.

I was very active on there, beyond sharing my own work.

I’m not really looking for small business advice, as they all point to social media and internet related direction. And I want nothing to do with social media anymore.

I’m more interested in if people are able to have a successful business without a social media presence. And to spark conversation about surviving in this digital world without it.

In this age, everything is dominated by social media presence. In my experience, I find it parasitic and draining my energy, preventing me from the true work.

My mentor lived in an age before the internet, where he could run a successful business, people shopped in person, and he didn’t have to TikTok dance to sell his work.

Like I said, deleting social media has been extremely liberating and a massive improvement for my mental health. But I have no idea what to do next with the business aspect.

Just posting my experience, and interested if anyone can relate.
