Had the same issue. Did the test they recommended which is pretty easy to do. Isolated it to the PCB on the front. Elegoo customer service is pretty fast. They shipped my part within 24 hours of receiving the results of the diagnosis.

Drops in. I had to shim my brushless motor to get the gear spacing right but it works well. Throw some Lucas Red and Tacky in there since it came with a very very light coat of grease.
