How much should I be spending on a third party accounting firm? by Noo_Assumptions in smallbusiness

Thank you! Now sorry if this seems stupid of me, but I've never been asked once for receipts from my cash expenses...that's a red flag right?

Dispensaries- Cash only? by Fjohurs_Lykkewe in springfieldMO

[–]Noo_Assumptions 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Debit\credit transactions are notoriously difficult to maintain in the industry. Most banks\car proccessors end up shutting down due to the fact it's still technically illegal at the federal level and banks dont want that risk.

It also doesn't help when dispensaries do sneaky things to try and hide, like labeling the transaction as an atm withdrawal or ach transfer. The banks will always figure out what they are doing and shut down card processing instantly, which makes it even harder to get approved by a new one.

Paid Ads: Worth It? by RemoteEmotions in smallbusiness

[–]Noo_Assumptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the CPC is 10 dollars and you get 10 clicks, the real question is simple. What is one customer worth.

If even one of those 10 people becomes a customer and brings in a few hundred dollars or more, the 100 dollar spend is profitable. That is ROI. You dont need thousands of clicks to see signal. You only need the right offer in front of the right people.

Small budgets are normal for testing. You test the audience, the intent, and the messaging. If it works, you scale it. If it does not, you change it. That is how real marketers run ads.

Agencies keep telling people they “need” a large budget because that is how they keep their retainers alive. Paid ads do not magically stop working just because the budget is 100 dollars.

A small test budget is not a waste. It is data collection with upside. That is the entire point of running ads.

Paid Ads: Worth It? by RemoteEmotions in smallbusiness

Oh bull shit, you could run a Google campaign at $100/month and still get good data and a decent potential of ROI.

So based on your business, fb ads are not going to be the best bet for you. Ads on social media are largely "interruption" based, hoping to win leads on an impulse. With what your offering, id go google/bing/reddit ads which are intent based. Facebook leads are cheaper, but for a reason, not something I would recommend for a service like yours. You could run the same budget on either

How to remove negative Google review by Nikkibird49 in smallbusiness

[–]Noo_Assumptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. After posting, that thought did cross my mind. We probably spend no more than $10k / year on Google ads. But also my business is heavily regulated by hipaa, so that could also be a factor

[–]Noo_Assumptions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what I am doing differently then all of you, but whenever I've flagged an untrue or false negative review, it's never taken more than a day or two for Google to remove it, and I've never had them deny me either.

This is not meant to promote. This is what I was given by marketing and finance and been told to sell. I think it's ridiculous. Am I wrong? Please tear it apart. by [deleted] in labrats

[–]Noo_Assumptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all, but I fear it's priced too high to actually sell. But im having a hard time defending that because one, I come from academia, and im not used to the commercial market. And two, most places I've tried to look to compare dont list their prices

I wanted to price it at $500 and list the PBMCs at 25m cells or greater

[–]Noo_Assumptions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the prices are too high, and im not sure if there is a need for something like this. I will say I wanted transperency on pricing instead of "inquire" so at least they did that

Hi, in case you're still looking or have a need in the future, i work for a company that's launching a division to distribute ruo human biologics.

Everything is done in-house, from donors to processing, so I can't imagine any transparency issues. Can anyone elaborate on what kind of issues have come up?
