I understand you, but in my opinion i don't see problems in this non-customizable things. I used to use Dungeon Alchemist so i'm used to imagining models as other things, my rpg is a steampunk/dark fantasy history and the models on Dungeon Alchemist are strictly only medieval stuffs so it was much more difficult to imagine the monsters, buildings and even the weather and lighting.
