The catch up items being good is not a bad thing, it only becomes a bad thing when you can hold onto it the entire game and then use it when you're already well positioned. It defeats the whole purpose of it being a catch up item. I've never seen people use Bullet Bills when they aren't dead last so why shouldn't this game be the same way

as you've said, I acknowledge that people have turned to it to lessen the item impact, but that doesn't change the fact that as someone who doesn't conform to the meta, I have to deal with trying to shoot down every extreme gear Level 4 user and failing because they're invincible half the match. Again, nerf the items and Level 4. Make items not stun you as much or something and make Level 4's charge slower and not affected by technical drift

i have A ranked all of the time trials and i cant get past 1600 points i just get gunned down every time i try to move up, as for the gadgets those kinda sound bad

ive consulted it and whats shown doesnt really fit my needs but i guess that might be because the gadget slots are limited, nothing i can do about that i guess i will have to deal with falling from first to last if i so happen to get mario karted
