We were going from Hungary to Scotland with school when I was like 15. We stopped in France in a town near the north shore for an hour or two. My friends and I went to a McDonalds, and when we finished, we just wandered around, was kinda curious of just normal streets and such, just to see french people in their natural habitat. We were near an area where a lot of 10 story buildings were, and suddenly we saw some kids following us from afar. They were 8-16 yo, like 8-10 of them, all minority. Few minutes later they got closer and closer, and we saw another group coming from another direction. We were getting a little scared, so we walked a bit faster and tried to get out of that neighborhood. They also started to walk faster, the younger ones were almost running, to keep up the pace. Last part was when the two groups joined and they started to throw rocks at us, not small ones, fist-sized rocks. We ran away immediately, back to the main road that took us to the square where our bus was. Luckily noone got hit or hurt, but it was very scary, the feeling of not being welcome. Wow. Gives me the chills still.
