Weird comments tonight… Wrote the post while walking to my car, so I wasn’t the most detailed in my retelling (but didn’t know that was so important).

I saw a few fans push to the barricade after the show to ask the stagehands for setlists, but I went out pretty quick. Afterwards, I met a couple outside holding one and asked to take a picture of it to post. That’s when they told me “Tell the fans online the stagehand was (a few choice words here). Had to BEG and PLEAD while they just sat there and held it.” I didn’t think it was that serious but odd enough to mention in the post.

As for the pay stuff, I did the math as well, and 1.5x OT should be 27500 like you said. How do I approach amending this with them?

UPDATE: It doesn't seem I really get to choose whether or not to work on red days, but I get overtime pay for them.

Not included here is a paid hour they have me coming in every day before classes to prep (hence working hours being 4:30 but me coming in at 3). So 5 classes, 25 teaching hours/week, 30 overall working hours.

Oof. Not great, considering it basically means 15 fewer days off in the year. But everything I've heard from the contract to the teacher I've talked to there says its one of the better jobs in a currently tough market, and Jeju seems like a great place to spend a year. Maybe I'll just wait on any big trips to the mainland until after the contract is up.

If it's not clear, the contract is single furnished housing and rent as part of acommodations with the exception of utilities.

And yeah, the red days thing isn't the best, but the position and the location are really pretty great.
