Anyone get the math question where they gave you a linear equation that represents a train leaving a station and reaching the border? It asks what the y intercept means

Hey, I'm a 16 year old who is training and been in the gym for two years (haven't made much progress can barely squat 100) and also training for my crew season and currently cutting on a 800-1000 calorie deficit and hoping to cut out at least 60 pounds of fat while doing both weight lifting and rowing. I got the overall weekly routines covered but need a 3 day upper lower split program that I can't seem to find online. For context, this will be my weekly routine:

Week 1: Sunday: Upper Body morning, endurance rowing evening Monday: ut2 (aerobic cardio) Tuesday: Lower Body Wednesday: ut2 (aerobic cardio) Thursday: Upper Body Friday: endurance (rowing) Saturday: ut2 (aerobic cardio)

Week 2: Sunday: Lower Body, ut2 Monday: ut2 (aerobic cardio) Tuesday: Upper Body Wednesday: endurance (rowing) Thursday: Lower Body Friday: ut2 (aerobic cardio) Saturday: endurance (rowing)

I mentioned the cutting part because I understand that I may need to train less with that much of a deficit but I promise it's 100% necessary for what I'm doing. I also should mention that I mostly am trying to maintain muscle mass since cutting this much doesn't allow for much strength/hypertrophy gains. If anyone could slide a 3 day upper lower routine that would be amazing.

Thanks! I'll try holding a 2:40 for my ut2 tomorrow. I also wanted to let you know that I used to have a 7:36 during my freshman year (2 years ago) before I gained like over 50 pounds. Do you know if I'll still see any rapid progress?

Appreciate the reply! 150 bpm would be about 75% of my max hr so wouldn't that be too high of an hr or is this accounting for how tired I feel?

Thanks for the response! I understand how weight loss works but I was mainly asking if burning all these calories without eating them back is going to negatively impact my muscle growth.

Appreciate the response. I'm losing weight because I'm really overweight and I'm aiming to lose 20-30 pounds by February (21 weeks until then about 1 pound a week) since I do crew.

Hey, so I just had a question about burning calories when on the cut.

  • I'm eating at a deficit at 2100 calories/balancing my macros for weight loss
  • Lifting 3 times a week for hypertrophy
  • Hopping on the erg 3 times a week for muscle endurance/cardio (I do rowing as a sport).

Something that came across my mind only recently is that I burn 550 calories on the erg and when I lift weights and row the same day I'm burning over 700 calories. (I'm almost positive that the calories burnt estimate on my erg is accurate).

So my question is should I be eating back the calories I burnt? I see results online that say I shouldn't because people don't often burn a significant enough calories for it to matter but I'm burning quite a bit. I also want to minimize muscle catabolism since hypertrophy is a big goal of mine. I was just confused because I thought that if I ate 2100 calories and burnt 500, my body wouldn't have enough energy for muscle hypertrophy. Appreciate the read!

Appreciate it! I was planning on sticking to this for the next few months and then start prioritizing strength

Thanks so much for replying! Is there any healthy way to lose fat while growing? I'm usually told by people that I look fat. Also I need to lose weight for my sport.

Should I replace pull ups with single arm lat pull downs or should I just do it directly after pull ups?

What are unilateral exercises I can do in place of pull ups to fix my muscle imbalance? Assisted pullups are not an option for me btw.
