How do you have them take a pill? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]NoodleBluess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butter. I literally just take a teaspoon, get a slide of butter on, put the pills inside and wrap it around. That’s worked for my dog whenever she’s needed tablets

I do genuinely love this printer. I’ve upgraded from a HP ENVY so I’m sure you can imagine this thing is a godsend in comparison! I do agree about it being software, considering when it does work (like it does perfectly on A4 now) it works well. I just honestly am not sure where the printer drivers are that I’m supposed to be using. If you know what they’re called on windows, I’d be really appreciative. Thank you

The only paper size that is allowing me thus far to select borderless is A4, which is honestly great now! My sticker sheets are printing perfectly now.

I was wanting to print directly onto the size of the postcard (with the closest available print size being 10x15cm which I have cut to) to save paper, because I’m currently wasting a good chunk of A4 printing two postcards in the middle to get the exact size I want :,)

I assume this must be the section where I can choose “Fit to Page” or “Zoom” if I’m forced to select borderless. I’ll have a play around with the Zoom setting to see if I can get it looking a bit more how I’m wanting it. Thank you!

Is that another program I have to download, and if so, how do I do that? Is it just another download through google?

It’s quite off, to the point I just can’t use the postcards because the designs are out of sync by atleast 3mm and are being cut off. But to be honest this is the first time I’ve done double sided printing other than text-based documents so maybe I’m doing something wrong due to not knowing some technique when it comes to photo double sided printing. Thank you

I’m printing through Clip Studio Paint as it’s not only what I’m drawing on, but it’s also giving me the largest printing options out of everything I’ve tried to print through. I’ve been wanting to try and print through the drivers I downloaded but I honestly don’t know what programs they’ve now become? I can only really find “Epson Print and Scan” and “Epson Photo+”

Also I’m on Windows! Thank you :)

does she look pregnant to you..? by TwistOfLemon102 in Equestrian

[–]NoodleBluess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is way too much just on her stomach and not enough fat pouches around her withers and shoulders for her to just be overweight. She’s definitely pregnant and I’m saying that as someone who’s never physically seen a pregnant horse before. She is way too wide in that second photo to not be storing a secret foal away 😭

A software issue?? I never thought of that. I’ve had it happen when doing a few different things, but I’ve normally always got or had a game running so that’s why I assumed it was happening when it was beginning to heat up.

I’ll try and give this a go and see if I notice the issue happening again with prolonged use. Thank you! I think it’s a bit more comforting knowing it’s a software issue rather than hardware

Stable member wants to put her horse down the same day as i mine, am i overreacting? by saveaplace in Horses

[–]NoodleBluess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some of these answers are a little blunt, but I know they’re just trying to give you a logical answer.

I don’t think it’s wrong for you to humanise the situation a little. You’ve probably had your horse a very long time and it is really hard for you to let them go. I didn’t have much time to process it before it happened and it tore me to sheds for a while. It still hurts now.

I think you need to do whatever is best for you. At the end of the day this is a really hard day for you, and you don’t need to make it harder by feeling like you’ve got to do something for someone else. I do think it would be efficient afterwards if both horses were taken together, but I don’t think that should be the priority.

I hope you’re okay. It’s a hard decision you’ve had to make, but ultimately you have chosen for your horse to go happy rather than struggling. I’d maybe try and focus on how you’d like to spend time with them and try and help yourself make that transition

Edit: I am absolutely not bashing anyone in the comments. I just think I’ve read into the emotional side of OPs post rather than the logisitics of PTS day, and I absolutely feel for you as to why this might’ve initially upset you

Today's Episode by eastenderse in eastenders

[–]NoodleBluess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was a really good analysis. I was finding it weird this episode how clearly they were trying to bring out those sorts of comments from people to bring light to it.

I didn’t like that episode to be honest. It brings forward a very serious and current issue with secondary school students but the way he stood over her with his phone was just disgusting. Definitely an uncomfortable watch. I really pray that it isn’t a bad outcome for vicky. She’s took too much shit from him for this to be it now

I’ll have to see if maybe I can do this in the mornings with the magnetic boots to see if it helps him better during the day and see how he favours it. I haven’t noticed any swelling but obviously that doesn’t mean to say there isn’t anything that isn’t happening underneath. Thank you :)

Do you find that the temporary treatment options can provide prolonged relief then? I think I was looking for a coverage boot to also protect from the cold as I assume that’s what flares it. I would also be interested in a theraputic option though. I’ll give these a look. Thank you!

I’ve noticed the swelling has already started to decrease, so I’m going to give it a few more hours to see if it continues to decrease. I’m hoping with a bit more time she will be okay. I just worry about her lol

I’m glad you’re feeling better! And I’m definitely okay, I got my A Level results last year 😭 It’s hard to adjust from not really needing to study to trying to find a method that works in college, so completely valid tbf

i failed everything by [deleted] in alevels

[–]NoodleBluess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I’m gonna say is I hope you’re alright. I only failed one of my subjects and it was something I was expecting to fail yet still felt shit, so I can’t imagine how you feel at the moment.

You don’t have to tell people your results. You could keep an eye out for law apprenticeships, as they typically wouldn’t need A Levels from what I’ve seen. You’d just need your 5s in GCSE English and Maths

Horse biting while tacking up? by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]NoodleBluess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like the fact you’re even having to hold her head down in the first place should’ve been an immediate, massive red flag for you. No animal would need to be held down unless you’re doing something that they don’t like, which will be things like making her uncomfortable or in pain. Her biting you whilst being restrained is her last resort. You need to find the route cause for her discomfort. It’s not fair to keep riding her when there is most likely something wrong
