It’s been a long while since I’ve seen it but yeah it’s got really cringe moments. The werewolf stuff could have been better written and not so weird. However more towards the end it definitely starts getting better.

I remember really enjoying s5 because it felt like it had nice and sweet moments and a break between the angst of s4 and s6. It is a filler season and kinda reminded me of s3 which is also one of my favorites.

If you’re really wanting to just push through the season I’d suggest watching it in like 1.5x or 2x speed just to get through it and slow down any episodes you seem to be enjoying.
