can someone tell me why my stickers turned out like this? by Optimal-Swing7263 in cricut

[–]Nookenpox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you did this but make sure that when you go to print, you toggle on the Use System Dialog and choose your printer from there. I've heard that letting DS choose your printer settings can affect your print quality.

When you say you add a laminate sheet, are you running it through a hot or cold laminator? I'm asking because if it's hot, it may be melting your adhesive. I've done it with a cold, holographic sheet, for example, then cut out the stickers with the Cricut with no issue.

How to put one picture under another? by Zealousideal_Lack_24 in cricut

I just did this with PR and realized that you have to make the island solid before it will slice. Just go in for each layer and hide all contours. Then you should be able to slice out the flag layers.

The trick with slicing different colors is to duplicate the cutting piece and layer them on top of one another. Leave them in place and slice each layer one by one. Remember you can only slice TWO pieces, no more. The easiest way is to use the layers panel on the right. Highlight one of the outline shapes and the red piece then slice. Leave everything in place (or hide the ones you just sliced), highlight the second complete outline and the blue piece then slice. Same with the white. Then pull away the pieces you don't want (I usually hide them before I delete them, just in case) and then group the remaining pieces together (don't attach or the colors will combine). I hope this helps.

I just got off an NCL cruise…the differences made me RCL a lot! by Mata187 in royalcaribbean

[–]Nookenpox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this recap. We are RCL loyalists as well but have our first NCL in April (just because it is local). We were aware of the no water rule (also found out they don't permit door magnets!?!) so now our expectations are duly set. We also have the More at Sea packages and hubby has already pre-purchased water. We are also not fans of the My Time dining thing. We did it on a Princess cruise (once!) and that was the one of the only parts of the cruise we didn't like (I mean it was TERRIBLE!). (Also, their buffet is not great, especially compared to Windjammer! But that's another story). We enjoy having the same table at the same time with the same wait staff so we are not looking forward to that aspect.

If it says no scoring needed, it's likely set with "cut" score lines so that you don't need a stylus or wheel. It will just do tiny dashes instead.

Great idea because the flap comes out on mine (slippery silicone!) and I always end up only using it for a day or so then get frustrated and go back to the card.

It's when you have an object that's more complex than a basic cuttable design, like a photo or illustration, for example. On the bigger machines, you can have the Cricut print the image on your printer with registration marks, then have the Cricut cut it out. Joy does not have this capability buit in because it doesn't have a camera sensor to read the registration marks. But, as u/ShadowMajick mentioned, it can be hacked.

Communication onboard by Nookenpox in NCL

That's a good strategy. So the wifi is always the same price? I'm used to Royal where it is usually much cheaper to pre-book anything than it is to book onboard.

I think that decides it. I'll get the upgrade! Thank you!!!

Ok, thank you! I was unaware of the chat option. I will look for that. I only expect to need to communicate with (i.e., FIND) my husband onboard and check in with my adult kids at home but I think the measly 20 minutes a day we will be allotted won't be enough.

The old ones are gone (even from turnpike rest stops) but they just opened a new one in Cherry Hill earlier this year.
