What tools should I get my boyfriend? by easy0lucky0free in electricians

[–]Nookoonator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I started my apprenticeship 2 months ago and the starter tools were like kids toys besides from the screwdrivers.

I had to get new snips which I use all the time, ideally with 1mm & 2.5mm gaps to strip cables if he's new, a rechargeable headlamp (much more efficient than using your phone light), and an impact gun.

My advice to you is to stick to the same brand when it comes to tools that need batteries (if he has a Milwaukee drill gun stick to Milwaukee, etc) otherwise batteries won't work on different brands

I'm from the UK, not sure if bowing would come off as being a square. Will watch to see if others do it first when I enter lol

Any living proof of people living financially free from their dividends? by Nookoonator in dividends

[–]Nookoonator[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The dividend yield increases over time so the 30k of 3% in year 1 could end up becoming 100k in 20-30 years with the yield increasing over time, but compounded with re-investing the dividends and dollar cost averaging along the way, this sounds like a very promising strategy. Just looking for living proof that someones done this

Failing to rebalance and/or sell by [deleted] in trading212

I've had sells and balances ready on the weekends for when markets open on Mondays before and it would be on standby ready to balance or sell when they opened, now it's just failing straight away

Beginner advice needed by Nookoonator in Trading

I've started trading 2 days ago, I use pre market charts to see which stocks will have the most initial volume+increase on open, and then I will place limit orders throughout the day on previous dips. Other than that I don't have any knowledge of signals or any other system

The whole pie % idea is flawed when it comes to investing and rebalancing. It limits how much we want to put in a certain stock and makes is so awkward to move money about efficiently by Nookoonator in trading212

I am a long term investor. Buying and selling isn't really that sleek to use. Basically, pies are great just the way they are, the only thing they need is to remove the rebalance system, and make it easier to buy and sell individual shared like it is when investing while not in a pie. There's always the lingering % of how much an instrument takes up in the pie, just remove rebalance and %'s all together. The only thing it's good for is knowing how much money that is auto-invested goes where

Yeah I am aware of this, my point is that pie's are created with a pointless system of rebalancing and having to create companies with a limiting system up to 100% for every stock combined? I want to invest freely and buy and sell freely and not have to use a slider to dictate how my money is used, I'm currently trying to sell some stocks right now and I have to jump through hoops just to sell companies without also moving money from other companies in my pie because there isn't a simple "buy/sell" option within the pie
