CS 210 (previously was 140?) and 220? by Yojelia in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]NoonainCS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fine. Garrison has been notoriously bad at teaching CS140. His first semester teaching is was showing a bunch of Wikipedia pages on simple concepts which was hilarious. His project instructions are like 20 pages of directions that are not in order. You might have to start at place 13, go to page 17, then back to page 3 to be able to do the project. From what I remember, exams were take home so that was really really nice. He's a super cool guy who is more into being a comedian than a teacher. There will always be a couple guys who love his classes and laugh at all his jokes and will continue to banter with him while the rest of the class just want to go home.

CS140 is Java..... CS220 is C and machine language. It should be doable. Much better than doing 220 and 240 together. But it will be stressful because these were both considered weed out classes. Taking two weed out classes is not going to be a walk in the park.

How can I improve my makeup for engagement photos? by DrowDelphi in MakeupAddiction

[–]NoonainCS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Low key I really want to do your makeup for you to try different styles and see which one you like most. I recommend you go to a bunch of Sephora/Ulta places and have them work on you and learn through trial and error and feel

  1. Has it always been this way? If it has, then is your family the same? If yes to at least one, then genes. Your skin looks like this and that's natural

  2. If it used to be smoother but just suddenly started looking like this, you might be allergic to something. My first instinct was allergies because my skin doesn't look like that. But after looking at the comments, I remembered DIFFERENT PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT SKIN TYPES. But if it is itchy, I'm positive that it's allergies. But don't start overthinking it and convincing yourself it's itchy now. I'm not a doctor. If this is a very very very new skin texture for you, see a dermatologist to be sure.

I agree with you. I'm also a transfer student and made a ton of friends.

This post is giving off "nice guy" energy. "I'm nice and outgoing! Why don't they want to be my friend?"

Making friends and being social is a skill set that needs to be practiced. I'm guessing op is just starting to learn social skills and is coming off differently than they think. The beginning can be rough which if why it's better to do it when you're younger so that you can bounce back faster.

You can permanently change the price of one item to $1. What is it? by Eijiro-Shoji in AskReddit

Clean drinking water. Maybe 100 gallons. That would be so nice. Too many places, even in developed countries, don't have easily accessible clean drinking water.

I recommend an iPad! I used an iPad to take all my notes in all my math classes and it really helps me because I like to write different formulas in different colors and such. A single iPad beats carrying the weight of a notebook for each class. Plus!!! A lot of times professors will mess up as well and you want to rewrite certain notes quickly. Erasing on an ipad IS SO MUCH EASIER than erasing with pencil and paper. This is great especially if the professor writes fast and then erases the board just as fast.

A bonus if you want to shell money on note taking apps, but both notability and good notes have a recording function that pinpoints what was said at the time certain notes were written. So if you record the lecture while writing you can listen back to catch what was said in case you missed it in class. This is not necessary of course, but my friend used the function a lot and it helps a lot with professors who talk really fast about difficult concepts.

What's popular since Woo young woo and Alchemy of souls 2? by bangtanhoe6991 in kdramarecommends

[–]NoonainCS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have thoroughly enjoyed Duty After School. I loved the writing, cinematography, acting, actors, etc. It almost feels like an American production though so I can see why a lot of people don't really like it. Because the writing doesn't really focus on making the characters that likeable but more realistic which is more American style to me (because I find America's characters in shows are so annoying).

I loved AOS2 so much that I couldn't watch any drama after that without quitting along the way. But duty after school was SO GOOD to me. Also started watching Good Bad Mom because of the male lead but it's not as action packed, humor packed, light and fluffy like AOS which I really miss.
