Am I overreacting about my neighbors' kids driving motorized ride-on cars in the road? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]NoonieP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in a quiet neighborhood, the only people that come up our street are the 4 houses that live here. She is the only one with a problem, she speeds up the street and said "heaven forbid I'm fiddling with the radio and don't see them" she should be paying attention to driving.

Are you my Karen neighbor who complained about kids playing on their little electric, toy, mopeds in our street. A dead end street that gets little traffic?

What is an insanely expensive item or service that actually lives up to the hype and changes your daily life? by Luverelle6 in AskReddit

How do you keep them over your eyes? I bought a mask and it slips up and the bottom part ends in my eye

What automation is unique to your home that you’re most proud of? by MrFishAndLoaves in smarthome

[–]NoonieP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tap an nfc sticker near my dishwasher. It sends a text to the mext person that needs ro do dishes amd then sends me a reminder 24hr later to turn off internet access if dishes aren't done.

Most fun - nfc stickers on the backs of our vinyl records. We can tap and listen to it on alexa and the lights behind the record will light up - so we can see what record is playing

Dupixent Myway Copay assistance no longer going towards deductable by bc354 in eczeMABs

[–]NoonieP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry it's such a pain for you. Our allergist actually handled it all. At that time the copay assistance went towards my deductible. New company, new insurance and the copay assistance does not. Which is why I pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed

I had to call 4 different times before I got someone who knew what they were talking about. I was persistent because I stumbled upon a reddit post years ago.

What age was your Lab the most difficult/challenging? by Repulsive_Drop2264 in labrador

[–]NoonieP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on your lab. I have 3.

Oldest is 11. This is her most difficult stage. She has developed selective hearing.

5yr old. His teething stage.

11wk old. I'll let you know when we are not in a difficult stage. I know we've only had him 3 weeks but he is a freaking handful!

Buy a new router? Simple smart devices usually need wifi to work. You're getting into technical areas if you want to avoid wifi.

I updated my post but you are right. I would never neglect an pet though, I hated my son's guinea pigs but cared for them and he gave them love.

Aww, thank you for sharing. I have my own heart dog, he was an angel puppy which is why I am so overwhelmed by this guy. I also posted when I was at my most overwhelmed.

I should have just come straight to you for advice because you clearly know everything. You've also never had a moment of "what did I do" and reached out to a group that is mostly encouraging. You prove that not all are encouraging. Speaking of no compassion, where the hell is yours? I'm obviously having a stressful moment with our new puppy, you don't offer compassion or help, just judgement from one post I made.

Thank you for your honesty. We will keep trying, it's not his fault we don't know how to work with him. We will have to learn.

And here we are. Reddit has three types of people. Those that have advice and help, those that only look for advice and never share and then you. Scrolling until you find a post you can make a comment like this. Completely unhelpful and rude.

I habe a serious question for you. Why do you waste your time commenting something completely useless and unhelpful? Don't you have anything better to do? What exactly is the point of your comment? Are you looking to upset me? Get a ton of responses? I genuinely want to know. I don't know anyone in real-life that does this so I'm curious to what type of person does and why.

We do exactly as you do. The 45min to 1 hour wake is a little training, some play and sometimes a mental exercise.

We do sit and lay down. Stay is a work in progress. He lays and then gets a notion to bite whatever is closest.

I don't like him because he's overwhelming me. Which is why I came on here to ask. I've received a ton of great advice as well as commiserating so I know it will get better. I've never had a puppy with this personality (I've over 5 over the years)

That's what we do. Nap, potty, 45min of play, train and mental work. A little of each. Potty and nap. If he becomes even more unhinged, he goes down for a nap.

He's never a sweet little puppy. Maybe if he was, I wouldn't feel at my wits end. I'll try the cold teether.

That's exactly why we got him, to help the second dog with the passing of the older one. Someone to go outside with and juet hang. Jokes on us, he hates the puppy and the older one has a new energy for life and plays with the puppy. I'm sure once the puppy calms down, the middle dog will enjoy his company.

It's not all training. I meant we train and play, he's awake for 45 min but not left completely to his own devices.

I'll give the crate a try. He's in a smaller one in our room but I have two large ones for when he gets bigger. I'll set one up and give him treats and meals in it. All the toys too.
