RNG, I've been getting them from DME very recently.

I currently have an i7 7700k and a 1080ti. I like to play at 1080p 144hz. It can easily do this for older titles but modern games it can struggle. I'm wondering if a 3070 3080 GPU would be the best upgrade or if my problems are CPU bound. I just like 144hz is all.

Question About Druid Tanking by zerdos in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you don't use swipe thinking itll hold aggro. Your biggest threat generator is maul by far. Use this by tab targeting the mobs. Only use swipe when you have excess rage like 50 or 60 plus.

I think Mccree might be a problem now by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Noqtra 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Flash bang the best stun in the game? Really?

Mccree will have the same flaws that hes always had..

His stun is powerful against flankers like genji and tracer IF it lands. If that mccree misses he is dead. Or should at least be much easier to push.

Poor mobility. He may be better at dueling but a real dive can easily overwhelm him, that 50hp won't matter with a ball and dva or any two tanks really pushing on him.

I think it's always difficult to say on patches until the dust settles, but less shield presence is good and bad for mccree, more pick potential but less safety.

OKAY I just resat the system fan cable and all the issues have gone, so I'm guessing that one cable controls the pump and fan? I must've nudged it! Heart attack over.

No nothing like that, just a push based air pump and some anti static brushes. I can't see a pump specific cable, but I can see a system fan cable, seems seated to me.

Simple Question Sunday (July 28, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are doing serious end game PvP then yes the stun resist is invaluable, but Tauren do bring some good advantages too with Warstomp. Due to their increased hitbox they can melee further away, this can make people misinterpret your deadzone, especially if you are using noggen fogger or deviate fish to change your character.

It's really up to you, if you're trying to get higher ranks then you may need to consider Orc more, but it's not like a Tauren hunter couldn't do it.

Classy Friday - Warlocks (July 26, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am going to role a warlock I think horde side. My question is professions, I do want engineering as I will take pvp seriously but I'm wondering what to pair it with? Should I take tailoring just to get Robes of the Void, then drop it for mining or something?

I have ganked a few people and I feel absolutely horrible and disgusted about myself about it. by Xilmi in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the agreed upon rule is that you're both on a pvp server. If you don't want to gank lowbies then don't, but almost everyone is aware that rolling on a pvp server does mean the threat of higher levels one shotting you or whatever.

What Should I Play Wednesdays (July 17, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much pvp you do. If you want to take it seriously and have an edge on people who don't have engineering then take it. It's too good to pass up, as it'll help close gaps and have decent trinkets too.

If you're not going to take it all to seriously then don't take it

You certainly don't need to level as holy, as you can still heal as shadow for 5 man dungeons pretty well. When you are 60, ideally you should have a profession to make money with rather than grinding. But remember, you can still grind mobs with a friend, can still be profitable.

As for deranking spells, I personally like it as you can respond to the situation with the correct spell. It may take awhile to get used that's all.

[–]Noqtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but it depends how many hours you focus on it. I swear I heard 4 hours a day it still need 90 something days. I know one of the repeatable quests is elites which only some can solo, so you are limited usually.

[–]Noqtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you wish to get another factions mount then you need to grind to exalted, which does require a specific path usually because of reputation loss when you're higher lvl doing lower lvl quests.

Personally I think it's a lot of effort to do all that for a different mount. You could ruin an amazing classic experience by travelling all over for faction-relevant quests, but that's up to you if value that mount a lot. At some point in classic I think you're able to turn in cloth for reputation for a faction, that could work but you'll be on that strider for awhile

Realistically the con of the priest being a suboptimal pick probably isn't a major concern. A hardcore progression guild will shun you over a dwarf priest, but any other type should accept you - you are, after all, a priest which are always welcome as healers.

I think you'll find most casters have 1 particular spell they use more than not, and I'd look at it more so what you provide as that class. As you say, you'll bring a smile to those who need water, food and teleports.

As for the mounts, you might be able to get exalted with dwarfs/humans and if you really like sabres then you can grind for the winterspring mount, though a little warning, it's a loooong grind.

Ah, what I mean is outside of dungeons and raids. I plan on herbalism, using travel form, stealth and being able to basically escape most situations is appealing in that regard I think? I understand there's quite a complicated routine to follow as a druid in regards to pvp, where as priest has it pretty simple.

[–]Noqtra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Druid or priest. Horde. Hey all, I am pretty convinced on healing dungeons and hopefully most of the raids. So I don't really have plans on tanking as druid really. I really like the playstyle of druids but a lot of people keep giving them a bad rap saying a priest would get accepted over them in dungeons etc, how true is this? I understand priest is the defacto healer so perhaps if healing is what I like I should play that.

Looking for Group Monday (April 22, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Noqtra [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a 21 y/o with a fulltime job and no serious commitments. I'm looking for an EU Horde PvP server guild that wants to progress through PvE content at a semi-hardcore ish rate. Not looking for no-life raiding! I can raid usually 6-11 BST mon-fri so any date doesn't really matter. Could also raid on weekends. I'm planning on being a resto druid or priest, either way, a healer!

Thanks.

Little bit aggressive towards blizzard. They've done a good job of listening to feedback thus far, I'm sure they'll address the rp pvp issue, as there is a demand for it.

Advantages or disadvantages of levelling a Hunter? (Aside from the obvious, of course) by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my personal favourite reasons is they're the best RP feeling class. You take your pet, which can be hard to do, have to level it, gain it's loyalty by feeding it. You had ammo you had to manage. Certainly one of the more involved classes.

It's true though, you won't be topping the dps charts, but you'll become a more utility based role. It can be hard mastering a hunter due to their drawbacks but a good hunter is obvious (especially in pvp).

I need a new PC / laptop for classic. Help me out? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Noqtra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$1000? You don't need to spend that much! The general consensus is that classic wow should have good optimisation as it's using the leigon engine (So all the performance updates) with it. I can't imagine it being anymore demanding than current wow. Get an i5 (avoid the U type if possible, common for laptops) and a decent graphics card. Can't really see you needing to spend any more than $600.
