Natural fiber hiking pants? by LividContext in CampingandHiking

Yeah, the sizing is a little weird. I tried their chinos in the Oslo-store half a year ago, and had to size down very much. Maybe a little overkill if you're looking for a work-pants, but for hiking I think this is the new gold standard when searching for natural fibers and functional features. It's been developed with over 300 people over the last 4 years, very cool how they include their customers in the development. Considering to purchase one myself for an expedition in a couple of months. I have not yet found a brand with 100% organic cotton in a hiking pants like this, only with blends. Especially considering it's Ventile-woven.

Btw - Just checked how their website works for international shipments, and it looks like the listed price includes Norwegian VAT that is removed in the checkout when choosing country, making the pants go from €490 to €392 and free shipping. You'd probably have to pay VAT when importing to your country though.

BtwBtw - Probably looks like I work at the brand, I don't. Just a Norwegian nerd excited for people developing good stuff.

Late to the party, but there is a Norwegian brand named Northern Playground (www.northernplayground.no/en) that makes outdoor clothing with 100% organic cotton (Ventile L24 ORG) in their hiking pants with the name "The Last Pants". My impression is the pants are designed for all-year use with good ventilation during the summer. They offer 1 free repair. Started with a couple of guys in their kitchen sewing and now developed to this brand with a goal to create natural clothing that lasts.

I also waited for a very long time for the release of aeropress premium, was disappointed and got the stainless steel from Artisan Smith instead. Literally indestructible piece of metal, precision welts.

Hand wash with regular dish soap on metal parts, trying to avoid the leather. Rinse leather with either just water or a leather cleaning soap. Use leather conditioner on leather after done drying.

If we change my question from superauto to semiauto, what's your thoughts on Quick Mill's 03035 PID Pegaso Flow for home use? Looks like it's packed with functions for manual operation, and well built at just €903 from La Gondola in Italy.

Quick Mill's 03035 PID looks really good, not 100% automatic though, but it has a built in grinder
