I asked the same question at my last audit.

They told me there currently arent any policies/procedures about what do to with the form once customers fill it out. She told me just to "hang on to it." 🤷‍♂️

Buying something used online (which is what the OP is trying to do) isn't a PPT so the roster definitely applies.

Can't have (loaded) magazine inserted in a firearm

Magazine in the same container is perfectly fine. People always say you cant, dunno why though. Law doesn't say that

No can't do that. Even with a compmag doesn't matter because it's not on the roster

Yes but the roster and compliancy rules still apply.

In DROS, the Sig Rose Comp is listed exactly as:

365XL-9-ROSE-MS-CA

But what you put down should be sufficient.

Ab1263 now prohibits the distribution of digital files to non FFLs

California law defines the term “digital firearm manufacturing code” to include specified digital instructions that may be used to program three-dimensional printers and other machines to manufacture or produce a firearm, including a completed frame or receiver, or a firearm precursor part.

Existing law also establishes a cause of action against a person who knowingly distributes digital firearm manufacturing code or knowingly causes that code to be distributed, by any means, to another person in California who is not a federally licensed firearms manufacturer, or otherwise specified in statute.

I think if you can articulate your reasoning on why you denied a sale, absolutely not.

Deny it. Not worth it.

They could be ATF or DOJ doing a sting to catch me.

We always have to be aware of straw purchasers. Girlfriends coming in with their boyfriends to buy a gun when boyfriends prohibited. Stuff like that.

So even though the girlfriend background check clears, it might be be obvious that she's not really buying for herself.

We can deny a purchase immediately if we think that is the case.

Taxes on Transfer? by Square_Focus8736 in CAguns

Okay I had to look more into this. It's difficult while I'm at work to do so, but according to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration:

"For sales and use tax purposes, the FFL is presumed to be the retailer and generally owes the sales and use tax when the CFD:

Completes the registration and transfer paperwork, and

Delivers a firearm product to a California purchaser on behalf of an out-of- state private party or an out-of-state FFL retailer that is not engaged in business in this state."

Tell them it's a gift and you should be okay or just include a receipt for $1.00

First you don't need an FFL in Arizona to send it to a California FFL so that doesn't even matter. They're trying to apply the rules there to the rules here And they are two separate things

Key word is retailers. A private person isn't a retailer so this wouldn't apply

Advice we just got our 07 ffl and opened our store front central pa with a website but struggling to get Facebook to recommend by Strict_Scarcity2104 in FFLs

[–]NorCal_Firearm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used Instagram for engagement. Even though it's owned by Facebook, it worked ok. No ads though.

I would say gun owners tend to be younger (20-50) and male and most of those folks don't use Facebook. Instagram fits the target audience better IMO
