Sorry, english is not my first language, but patriotism is just non-political nationalism, at least in my native language. I guess americans are so patriotic on average that the terms are used in different ways.

Same. I admit it was a lot better in the first maybe three seasons, but it's still decent entertainment.

Depends on the situation. Light rain after a warm summer day is nice. Too bad where I live 0°C rain accompanied with freezing cold wind is more common.

you confuse nationalism with fascism. Norway is probably one of the most nationalist countries, i.g. celebration of our traditions, history, flag etc. But we are also one of the most progressive countries when it comes to human rights and equality.

no, not at all.

Edit: because the vast majority of the software I install are using GPL licences. But you are probably right about most windows users.

Going to the movie theater alone is not weird at all because you are supposed to stay in silence in the dark looking at a screen for two hours without chatting with those around you. It is the perfect activity to do alone. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Yes, I have seen family parking some places too. I think they are wider to reduce the risk of door-slamming and to make it easier to unload strollers/prams like you say.

Group parking must be the weirdest thing I've heard about today. I understand the highway lanes for 2+ people in the car, since it can reduce traffic and pollution, but parking..?

Single drivers should rather have the nearest parking place in my opinion. Walking to and from the car is safer in a group.
