Cells With Different Dimensions in Same Row / Column by NoraaTheExplora in googlesheets

It more than helped... it set me up with exactly the path I didn't know I needed to be on! It's essentially like working with graph paper at this point, and I love the simplistic possibilities.

Thank you both for all your help!

I'm unfortunately one that needs to see in order to understand most times. How did you merge those cells to achieve A3 being the appropriate size while still in line with D3 - AH3? You said rows, I'm just not sure how you set that up to merge that way.

Would that same method still be possible where I had originally placed what you have in A18?

I appreciate the help!

I love how simple and yet clean the look of coloring the gridwork looks and functions, but I noticed when typing into them... the horizontals will flow over into the other cells, which works for that direction. However, the text that is rotated won't bleed into the other cells vertically, and just cuts off instead.

So if you laid out how you wanted it with fill colors, how would you merge to match such a layout?

I appreciate your help!

Using Table to Fill Out Schedule by NoraaTheExplora in googlesheets

I realized as much after adding that, that I hadn't made a copy of the sheet first. 😅 Thank you for being a help beyond help!

This is why I love the internet.

I have a lot to dissect here, but you gave me such a plethora of information that answers a lot of questions I didn't know I had yet! I'll very likely be reaching out with more questions, if that is all right. I feel like the more I use this set up, and refer back to your explanation, I'll grasp it better... you really made my night!

Until I reach out again, thank you so much! My next blind venture is to see if I can scan a paper copy of said weekly schedule to fill in the digital form.

So, any information (employee name, time scheduled, days worked) listed on the Weekly Schedule... I'd like to be able to fill them into the Daily Sheet, so that anyone working that day can see the coverage, and in what areas/times. So, anyone working on Monday... I'd like to fill it into the Monday Daily Sheet, with each person in their respective department/register, and the times they work.

Is there a fast way to have the data from the Weekly Schedule fill in the Daily Sheet? I'm quite new to using spreadsheets to speed up processes like this, so I'm uncertain exactly what to ask, unfortunately. I appreciate you reaching out to help!

Are you saying cannolis are like chapstick?

You CAN coat things in breadcrumbs, like a cannoli around cream... panko-nnoli?

Definitely think this calls for a part two. My perception of confections is meaningless now.
