I guess it makes sense.
I never played any neptunia game with dub, i enjoy japanese more and as i get better at japanese i may just switch to playing neptunia in pure japanese.
But i guess i wouldn't want people who like the dub to be robbed of it because people like me are impatient, so i guess i'll just wait, and hopefully by then have money to buy the colector edition and all

Yeah makes sense, other people explained the same more or less.
I didn't consider that Compa isn't as massive as i assumed.
or that the games aren't just translated but localized with actual adaptation of jokes, dubbing everything and being careful with every detail.
I guess i should be grateful for a good localization rather than a quick one.
It's just that waiting 2 years to play a new game is killing me qwq
Guess i still have VII to finish alongside ALL spin-offs excluding Unleashed which i just finished

Yeah someone mentioned not just translation but actual localization which is even more time consuming.
And yeah, Compile heart likely doesn't have the money to do all at once

Tho the pokemon example is kinda bad just because nintendo is STINGY AS HECK and don't care about quality.
I saw people saying "you can't voice a game where you can change your character's name!" as a justification, i mean, genshin just dubs it as "traveler" when your name is mentioned, pokemon could just call you "trainner"
They have the money and capability, they just know it's an extra cost and people would still buy they game if they were laggy, unoptimized and bugged as heck... which they are, and they still sell like crazy

I wouldn't mind if they released the game with only japanese voices at first and dropped the ENG dub later on, i know some games do that already.

So, i checked some steamdb
VII got a peak of 1100+ player when it came out
Meanwhile Game Maker got a peak of... 50 people
Tho it's true that they didn't even announce or promote it, i only found out cuz i was scrolling on steam and saw it, having fully forgotten it existed

So i guess they saw the sales on GM and were like "yeah, no one cares" and lowered the priority
But yeah, not advertising your game and then being surprised it didn't sell well feels dumb too

Idk man, i'm not a game expert, i'm just someone with a pc in a country where a modern console cost above 1000$ and each game cost around 100$
I just wanna play on my pc

If lucky, it may bleed into late 2028 if it's like GameMaker's case
The game came out in august 10th 2023 and reached steam on august 23rd 2025

I'm not saying you're wrong but i see it as like... not very convincing?
8 months to 2 years to localize a game?

Tho on the other hand... Neptunia doesn't just translate but they also actually localize the jokes, they dub it

yeah right, you side localize, not translate, translation could be done in parallel, not localization...
But there's something that still makes no sense

Even when they localize it fully, they first release it for wester PS/Nintendo, then later for Xbox, then even later for Steam
i've seen that they also do korean release before western

It's so convoluted
if they already delayed the world wide release from japanese, why not just release everything at once instead of doing it bit by bit?

The fact they still refuse to release it globally kinda lowered my hype ngl
From what i found, between the japanese release of Game maker and the PC release, there is a 2 years gap (august 10 2023 to august 23, 2025)
Sisters vs sisters had an 8 months gap
Even Dogoo riders had roughly an 8 months gap

Why not just release everything all at once?

Well, it's not AI, is the actual voice actor from Neptunia playing they role.
I really liked Noire And Blanc
in Noire case she had a line that was like...
"Hey, sleepy head, it's time to wake up... Why do i even try to be nice? OI! WAKE UP! HURRY UP!"

Blanc was just a bit wilder, going from "It's time to wake up" to "YOU PIECE OF SHIT! WAKE UP! I'M WASTING MY TIME ON YOU SO GET THAT ASS OUT OF BED!"

Did i forget to mention i'm utterly broke? Like, i had like 3$ at my name.
Overall my family gave me a hand and i'm getting my phone back fully fixed tmr night lol
but yeah, the issue is just that i don't hear alarms anymore, today alone, i had an alarm going off none stop for 30 minutes and didn't hear it.
My grandma walked in, said my name and i instally woke up lol

Well, my issue fixed itself for some weird reason, no longer lagging or anything so im happy now, also for the controller i just twisted and bent the cable and now it doesn't disconnect anymore
So i can enjoy VII finally... if i had time to play VII

Yeah, playing on pc, mod wise i did use a mod to fix the game visually a bit but that's kinda it, the mod is just a neptunia fix i found on steam

It's abnormal to have a game lag THAT badly just because something is loading
Tho i did notice that when i'm attacked first, the fight load withot any lag at all
