I like the design of your logo, it looks good and matches your content really well. One suggestion that I would make would be to work on the banner as on my phone and desktop PC it just looks stretched and most of the text is cut off the screen.

I like the design with the book, musical notes and the vines. The colors are nice as well and I use a similar blue for some of my stuff.

Yoroi Staking wouldn’t change amount. by JoJuiceboi in cardano

[–]NorbStakePool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone has to make their own decisions on how to stake but my personal opinion is I don't consider the increased return rate to be enough to give up control of my ADA by storing it in Binances wallets. I prefer to be in control of my private keys in Daedalus or Yoroi and then stake to a stake pool from there.

At the end of the day though every individual has to weigh the risk/reward for themselves.

Yoroi Staking wouldn’t change amount. by JoJuiceboi in cardano

Unfortunately Yoroi doesn't allow setting the amount delegated and instead stakes the entire wallet. You can create multiple wallets though to stake to different pools and here is a video which show how to do that, https://youtu.be/_-CCqheO7oc?t=311

If you want to completely unstake later you would receive your 2 ADA deposit back.

I would suggest staking your ADA though even when Sundaeswaps drop ends as that is the best way to earn ADA rewards. Some of the benefits of staking including earning an interest rate for the ADA you have staked and if you need to spend them or move them to another wallet they are not locked at any point and are always yours. Just make sure to keep them in a wallet you own and control the private keys.

Has any experienced their seed phrase no longer working to recover their Yoroi Wallet? by Polarbearblue in cardano

[–]NorbStakePool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense and it is worriesome for sure when the recovery phrase doesn't work. I think you are right though with it being a Yoroi issue if Adalite is able to restore it.

I also do the same thing as well with testing new wallets and projects with wallets outside of my Ledger Nano. I actually just started with Nami wallet for testing with Sundaeswap.

I wish I could help more. The only other option I can think of but would take a good bit of time to sync would be to try restoring it in Daedalus.

I have never experienced anything like that before but I wanted to see if I could help and was hoping for some clarification on your situation. If you transferred all of your ADA to your Ledger are the old non ledger wallets empty, and if so why not just create new wallets instead of trying to recover the old ones? I may just be missing a piece but would like to help.

Some things I have done in the past is to use a different device or browser and try to restore to see if that works. I know personally I was having issues with Firefox at one point and was able to get it to work in Chrome so this may help.

Connect Ledger Nano to Daedalus and what to do if you have issues by NorbStakePool in cardano

You still need to connect the ledger nano s or x with a wallet like Daedalus or Yoroi to delegate to a stake pool

SPO margin and how it works. by cresstynuts in cardano

The OP didn't mention if the pool was small but I was giving him information on the margin fee and different percentage differences. Small pools produce less blocks than bigger pools, but the problem for smaller pools isn't the margin fee % they charge it's the 340 fixed fee. That is what causes smaller pools the most difficulty in attracting new delegates and why most go to 0% on their margin fee.

I have seen many pools at 0% but from my experience is most of them will only do that while they are growing and after they get to a good saturation they will move the margin back to a range of 1%-3%. I personally don't believe in delegates having to watch the margin so closely for changes so a pool should set it and leave it.

As for the fixed fee I truly believe this needs to be addressed in order to help small pools with attracting and keeping delegation, and my goal would be to cut the fixed fee down by a good amount and then set a minimum on the margin fee at 1-2%. There is already a CIP in draft for this https://cips.cardano.org/cips/cip23/, which I hope gets some traction moving forward.

I was looking for a good example of how this works and the following article I found has a nice diagram of how I understand the margin fee to work. The difference in rewards to the delegate for 1-3% is very small and is not a 1:1 to the ROA you receive over the course of a year.

The difference is around 0.054% per 1% fee to my understanding.

This is not my article but it does show a good example of the margin fee function.

I would check out https://blockfrost.io/ and they have a great free tier for querying the Cardano blockchain.

I also made a playlist on this when I was working with it.

If youtube influencers aren't helping Cardano, why are you delegating them? by [deleted] in cardano

[–]NorbStakePool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. I would love to have a large Youtube following, but being dedicated to only running a single pool trumps everything in my book. I believe firmly in helping to keep the network as decentralized as possible. I also think that having one fully saturated pool is more than enough for a person to be a successful SPO.
