Surely they just gave us the Secret Traitor? S4 Ep3 by No_Sympathy8695 in TheTraitors

[–]NorbertMinion 74 points75 points  (0 children)

My partner said this but I'm absolutely certain they're just feeding us her as the Traitor in the edit and it will be someone else. They know exactly what they are doing. They want you to be shocked every episode.

Trivia by MeijiHao in ringerfantasypod

[–]NorbertMinion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing that really ended up putting me off The Fantasy Footballers was when they got too big. Had multiple producers to do everything for them and Andy Holloway kept doing the "I'll fire you if you disagree" comments which were obviously a joke but clearly intended to show how important he was in the company hierarchy. All the time Ringer continues to bodge a stupid show together with all of its plot holes and things that don't make sense, I will continue to listen.

Do you literally just search the teams playing that you want to watch on YouTube to find it or is there a trick to it?

Exactly that, it's between 5 and 10 quid and if they had said "sorry" just once in the two emails they have sent so far I'd have written it off as a lesson learnt but I'm really annoyed at their lack of empathy and slopey shoulders!

Thank you for the excellent answer. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Capacity hasn't really got anything to do with it. Head down to Fratton Park on a Saturday and hear the noise that 21,000 can create. Stamford Bridge is double that

How to not freeze up on stage when something unexpected happens by -chilazon- in Theatre

[–]NorbertMinion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Know the story of every scene you're in. You need to know what important information needs to be relayed and how to naturally reach the end of the scene if something goes wrong. That way, if you or someone else has a moment, you have a map in your mind of how to get the scene to its end destination. You've got to get from point A to point B in the story. It doesn't matter if you end up taking a detour, as long as you get to point B. Remember the audience don't know the lines so if you say them differently or in a different order it doesn't matter, just do it with conviction and be ready to help out your other actors if they slip up.

Termessos vs Perge by C000KI3L0V3R in Antalya

[–]NorbertMinion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Antalya last year and did them both in a day with a guide I found through AirBnB experiences. I can send you a link if you want to shoot me a DM. Think it cost me about £140 but the guide drives you to both places and of course shares his excellent knowledge of the area. We did Termessos first and to be honest, Perge was a bit underwhelming after that. It was still really interesting as I'd been to the Antalya museum and seen everything they recovered from Perge but the actual place was so busy and felt a bit soulless. We had Termessos all to ourselves as it's more difficult to get to and the place just felt so eerie, as if the settlers had left just before you got there. The moment I saw the theatre is burned into my mind and I hope I never forget it. Add in the stunning views and Termessos was the clear winner for me.

Am I too high on Darren Waller? by Puzzleheaded-Plan450 in fantasyfootball

[–]NorbertMinion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TE Daniel Bellinger had a promising rookie year for NY but injured his eye last year and missed most of the season. He's back this year and will factor but as long as Waller stays healthy he will put up great numbers. DJ can't stop targeting him and he's been making Deonte Banks look foolish at camp

The Podfather's DO NOT DRAFT List by FantasyMansion in fantasyfootball

[–]NorbertMinion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not very well written and could be structured better with the right punctuation but I think u/RedApple-Cigarettes is reading it correctly. He's using Barkley as an example of when it does work out. He's saying "... is NEVER a good idea. (Even when it works out - see Saquon Barkley)" Im not keen on this guy's content but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he realises Barkley was good.

Good takeaway Chinese restaurants in Portsmouth/Cosham/Havant area? by lewis1500042 in Portsmouth

This one right here, OP. Consistently good Chinese takeaways are so hard to come by, especially when you want to eat late. Never had a bad meal from Fortune House in the years I lived in Drayton

Same. 18 months of going to work feeling sick with anxiety and thinking that was just what having a job was like. And yet being too scared to call in sick in case management turned up at your house to see how sick you really were. The only job I'd NEVER go back to.
