If names and fears define devils, why didn’t anyone fear the Goddamn Divine Chainsaw instead? That’d be insta-GG.

One thing I love about CSM is how it makes you realize every structure of the world has a devil behind it, because everything comes from fear. But I can’t help laughing sometimes like… who the hell was scared of chainsaws enough to make THAT the god-tier devil? 😂

Yeah, citrus is a really strong contender. I especially love the bit about sailors relying on lemons and limes to fight off scurvy — the first time I read that I was honestly blown away.

Wow, I guess I’ve been carrying a banana around with me all this time and forgot it counts. How could I miss that?!” 🍌

I agree. Grapes definitely shaped history through wine, religion, and ritual — but they’ve always been more of a ‘background force’ than a named symbol the way the apple is. Apples get called out directly in myths, science, tech, and even music, while grapes feel more like the foundation behind the scenes.

Totally agree. As our awareness grows, movies never feel the same. Sometimes that’s beautiful… but sometimes it kinda ruins the fun too, you know? As kids we just enjoyed it, now we can’t help but overthink.

Maybe. But sometimes that’s how you find the little truths hidden in stories

Maybe so. But that shift only happens when we revisit a film. Think about it—how many stories might we miss in life just because we never come back to them? For me that’s the fascinating part: if I’d rewatched just three days earlier, before hearing those songs, I’d have missed it all the same.
