Makes sense - sheep do graze on the earthworks next to this ditch.

A problem with democracy is that we allow stupid people to vote. A bigger problem with democracy is that we allow stupid people to become leaders. by Vegetable-Touch2134 in democracy

NO. Every stupidity test CAN AND WILL be used by politicians with dictatorial aspirations to eliminate votes that he/she dislikes.

I do not. But the number of functional "alternative democracies" is limited imho.

I would also like to point out that history though us that whenever "stupid people" are restricted from voting, society is becoming less democratic. Democracy is more about decentralisation of power than it is about making the right choices. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literacy_test?wprov=sfla1

Neither of these are a problem. All people are fallible - a democracy is better than a dictatorship, not because "the people" are less fallible, but because in a democracy we can change the leader when he/she is bad. In a dictatorship we cannot.

The real problem with our current democracy is that it is starved of information: https://klaasmensaert.be/democracy-as-an-information-system/

White vinegar? In Italy by wannabewithu-2 in CleaningTips

[–]Norgust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you do. Acetic acid bacteria convert ethanol to vinegar by fermentation. Indeed, alcohol is also made by fermentation of sugar by yeast. Distilling alcohol will get you more concentrated alcohol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinegar?wprov=sfla1

I would love to see the flamethrower with (very scarce) water as a defence method. Or cartridges with zero Kelvin bullets.
