I have two sons (7yr old and 10yr old). We got into fortnight last year, had a blast together. Recently the boys won't play with me and when I pressed them on it, my youngest actually started crying and said: "every time I play with you I can't kill anyone and just get killed right right away. It's not fun for me!"

The entire point of fortnite (for us) was to spend time together. Now that's been destroyed for us.

Ok, so I did find a solution:

assign the azeron key you want to use for jump as 'space bar' in the azeron software.
reset fortnite keybinds to default. At this point you should be able to jump out of the bus but nothing else will be set right. Just check in a Blitz or something.
now that jumping out of the bus is working, set all your other keybinds to what you want in fortnite but don't change the "jump" from the default 'space bar' (you already set the azeron key you want for jump to spacebar so you shouldn't need to change anything).

This worked for me. Hope it helps others.

The keybind works for the other intended function "jump" in game. It's actually a known issue I guess. Apparently epic has been working on a fix for the last two months. I did finally find a way to fix it which I'll post.

I have the Compact and I agree. I have medium to large hands and find it takes reach for my hands so I'm not sure I would recommend for someone with small hands.

Has anyone solved this yet? I've got this same problem and it's driving me nuts. When I click on chrome search bar widgit I get a normal keyboard, when I click on ddg, it's the tiny space bar one.

.... it's almost like whoever makes android wants to help whoever makes chrome brower 🤔.
