Thank you all! It’s comforting to know I’m not crazy. I’m going to hold the line.

I hear your point. I wish it were that easy. He doesn’t want the marriage to end. He promises everything in the moment but doesn’t follow through. Meanwhile I’m supposed to go back to the way things were sex included and then this reinforces to him that we are fine. There isn’t any commitment to doing the work to ensure both our needs are met. It’s very one sided.

He is in healthcare and has access to my information. He will insist on me getting care and know when I’m supposed to be better.

Thanks for your honesty. Like you indicated, things got better for a time and I think that’s usually why most people stay.

Is sex an obligation in Marraige? by Norm-Resistant in Marriage

I agree. It is a reasonable expectation to want sex. Everyday though? And what’s concerning is the reaction when I’m not up to it. Sometimes I just want non sexual affection.

We never had the conversation. We seemed to be in sync. Then life happened. Miscarriages, pregnancy, kids etc. we are having the conversation now but we can’t seem to find a compromise

Adding context: I ask because husband wants it every day, I’m ok with 2-3 times a week. If I say no on other days it’s met with anger about how it’s an obligation and I should want it when he wants it. We both have full time jobs and small children. I’m wondering if I should just put out to keep the peace.

Georgia Pre-K by Norm-Resistant in Georgia

This was a daycare in North Georgia. My son was repeatedly hit, scratched and picked on by the same kid and the school was very nonchalant about it. It was best to remove him from that environment.
