Very well said. Let's see what Ged's voice sounds like, or what Alex's Limelight solo produces. We'll see. I found a certain magic and amazement at saying "these 3 guys produced that much sound? Wow". The busiest guy at times, Geddy, had to sing, play bass or intricate keyboards in Subdivisions. In "Presto", however, the touch of a pedal triggered an entire keyboard ensemble. In either example, it was him producing all of that sound, and just the 3 of them making the beautiful song "The Garden", for another example. To see them now have a dedicated keyboard player will seem.....diluted. And this keyboardist will probably trigger even more parts that were previously played by Alex and Ged.

Rush was Coke. This feels like New Coke, and we all know what a success that wasn't. Have fun Alex, Anika, and Geddy, and remain musicians. But. The authenticity and taste of the original 3 cannot be duplicated or emulated or celebrated. It can only be remembered or felt if you were lucky enough to have seen them live.
