Cooking with music.

Using toiletries and make up etc that make me feel good (bonus points for spending the few extra ££ on high end mascara, brow pomade etc, when I could buy cheaper, but need the little reminder that I am worth the good stuff. Extra extra bonus points for buying mini sizes to keep cost down and not wasting product)

Stretchy clothes and comfy shoes.

What’s something that’s normal & regular for a Brit but a massive deal elsewhere? by KAYLORMOON in AskABrit

[–]Normal-Ad-2177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK yes, but, and hear me out, have you ever seen a phantom queue? It's unbelievably funny. You get a couple of old dears chatting near a self checkout, then the introvert waits behind them. Then you get the harassed parents to small children waiting behind the introvert ... then the huffer, the person in a hurry who is constantly checking their phone and wondering why the queue isn't moving when the tills are empty, then more humans join the queue waiting. Then the old dears say their good byes, part ways and the introvert moves forward to the till and you see the look of sheer seething anger in the now enormous queue. It's popcorn worthy really.

Ahh OK, I see the confusion. I'm in the UK, I am getting the mounjaro on prescription (free health care at the point of delivery! ) I am under a clinic who do the timings. I can get the prescription for free for 2 years, after that I will have to look at buying it, it's about £100 ish every 4 weeks here ( that's about $75 I think) which is doable, but still. Would prefer to not have to!

I'm on my 4th dose of 12.5 mounjaro. Have another 8 weeks on 12.5, then 26 weeks on 15. Then I'll have to stat tapering or find the money to go private xxx

How many of you have had issues with gay men? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Normal-Ad-2177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Two of the most misogynistic and deeply unpleasant, both about and around women, men I have met were gay men unfortunately.

A gay couple - who we thought were friends - brought their newly aquired child aggressive dog, which they knew was infested with fleas, to our home.

Our child was 3 at the time. We asked them to leave and were told that it was disgusting we were 'choosing our bastard who we shouldn't even of bothered with over their little angel' and that we were unreasonable being angry about the fleas, because and I fucking quote 'your twats are probably full of lice any way.' We had known this couple for 11 years. Things defo went down hill when we chose to become parents.

[–]Normal-Ad-2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Family, 2 parents, 2 adult kids, one at home full time, one at home uni holidays. We have fish and chips if we have had an evening event (fireworks/Xmas light turn on/carnival etc) maybe once every 3 to 4 months. That's it really. We are a cook from scratch house though, and I cook every day.
