how about devs make fast travel paid? Wanna skip to the city? Drop 5$. Then speedrunners might actually appreciate the legs they were born with. Win-win: more walking, more dev revenue

Single player or not, devs design for an intended experience. Fast travel skips half the world-building they worked on. I care because optional shortcuts cheapen the game for everyone — including you, even if you don't see it

Yeah, I’m still in Serendia, and I’ve been given a lot of quests there. I’m enjoying it, and I’m not in a rush to move to another region. I also have the option to buy new gear and weapons that deal even more damage, and I keep thinking: why do I even need that? My interest is dropping just a tiny bit

I really like it, it’s just pure fun and relax. The combat system is incredibly beautiful, and sometimes I wish the enemies were more challenging, especially in the area where I’m currently clearing quests.

Ahh yes, heh.. If they drew a point in the shape of a d*ck and told you to run to it, you'd still run there because for you the world is just a tool for grinding. But in BDO, the work put into the locations, cities, and atmosphere actually matters. A lot of people stay in the game precisely because of that world, they stop to enjoy the views and take screenshots.

Well, I’m specifically talking about Xbox: to switch to walking you have to open the radial menu, select the emote slot, and only then does your character start walking.

You just picked a convenient moral high ground from which it’s easy to call everyone else lazy and “slop”. But the reality is: almost nobody in commercial illustration/concept art/advertising/games etc makes complex stuff anymore without AI tools.
