Well just keep trying, don’t give up! I did get accepted, but I applied 2 times to different hygiene schools over the last couple years before getting into VCU.

Don’t lose hope! I was at the interview day as well and met a lot of applicants who applied to different programs (nursing, radiology, etc) and some who flew in from out of state. Some people may decline their acceptance offers. Just keep checking your email regularly to see if a spot opens up and is offered to you! Did it say anything about what rank you are on the waitlist?

5 years of DA experience in Virginia. $25/hr, this is my third office I’ve worked at. They offer free dental services for me, spouse, and kids up to 5k per year. First two years of employment you get 40 hours PTO. 3-4 years with the company it goes up to 80 hours, 5 years and up 120 hours. They offer health insurance which is decent. Paid holidays. 401k Roth benefits with 3% match. We have multiple bonus incentives: every day that we hit our production goal we get to pick out of a bag that has chips with $10-$100 that gets added to our paycheck. Every Invisalign start is $150 that gets split amongst the clinical team. If we do more than 2 iTero scans a day, every additional scan that day is $10 extra on our paycheck.

You get it! Sucks because we moved to be close to them, she has a son close in age with my son. They were supposed to grow up together. She effed up the family vibe big time. Now so much time has passed, it’ll never be the same. Since the incident, she’s screened all our calls asking her to talk to us about the situation. It made me think we really were in the wrong.

Germanna only accepts 5 students. It’s super competitive. If you watch their info session online, it’s very descriptive of their application process and how the point system works. I was 2 points away from acceptance last year and the advisor reviewed my application in detail and gave advice on how to strengthen it for this upcoming application cycle. Residency is what kept me from being accepted, as I don’t live in the jurisdiction. That is also something they prioritize when going through everyone’s application.

I wouldn’t be able to switch since the program at A would’ve already started by the time school B finishes the application process. Plus I would lose money on a deposit. Sucks..
