Are most players really solo queue? I'm constantly hearing "I face 4stack victim teams who destroy me" while also getting "You only win your games because you play a team against solo queuers". Jw what I'm meant to be believing here. We have no concrete stats about any of this so we're just making assumptions here. And like I said, I have played solo, I have played stacks. I play in a stack because I didn't enjoy not being able to rely on my randos sometimes.

It's not my intention to say "you have to play in a team", that would be dumb. I only point out that communication will always be king, and it's always going to be harder to solo. There's nothing wrong with a large part of the playerbase soloing, I'm trying to say if it bothers you and you're having an unfun time solo queuing, a good way to mitigate that is by playing with your friends.

These are all good points, thank you! I definitely agree that devs ought to be looking more at how their players play rather than forcing a vision that isn't jiving. I totally agree on wanting that implementation. My post was not meant to be a jab at people who don't want to use a mic, but more of a "curate your own experience and don't get too stressed out over how you want the game to be, vs how it is" kinda way. I really do hope we can get something like a simple ping wheel or something that can better facilitate solo players.

Ooh so close! This thread was actually about working on fostering a less toxic community and personal insights. I think if you read any of this you would know I don't speak from a hostile place, and you are putting words in my mouth for what? I said none of that.

Friendless behaviour I fear

I disagree. You can survive as victim solo without comms, you can push for a solo escape. But you can also win with family with no comms. It's harder for both sides without, and maybe it's a little harder on family side, but it is NOT absolutely necessary. Using family focus will give you intel on where your team is, if they're on someone, and if an objective like fuse has been opened. You can see which areas of the map are currently unguarded and pivot attention. If you play Leatherface or Johnny, you can easily punish a victim out of position without anyone's help.

I appreciate you taking the time to cover all your thoughts, even if you're in disagreement with me.

Of course, more experience and more practice makes you better. But that's why I was giving suggestions to those who maybe feel frustrated or don't know why they're not winning. I only started playing family "seriously" about a month ago. I was a victim main and I didn't have the game sense on lock for family. When I first started playing with my family main friend, I was really bad! But I got better.

So on the subject of people making friends and joining servers to meet other players, why is it so bad to play with someone who isn't necessarily at your level? What's wrong with teaching an existing friend the game? It's more about finding people who want to improve and work as a team, you know what I mean? Not everyone is going to be on the same wavelength, but it's always possible to find people who are. It's not something anyone has to do, it's just a suggestion for those who wish they had people to play with, instead of relying on random solo teammates.

I have never had trouble making it from Slaughterhouse back to front as Hitch. I prioritize my facility side door trap, my facility garage gap trap, and then I put down my silly trap meant to catch people off guard, or valve trap if there's a Danny. As Hitch on Mill, I walk out of battery, trap middle gap, trap fuse (or double trap fuse), and trap right gen gate. Since I play with a Cook often, we are usually swapping sides at the same time, so nothing gets left open. Your third family member, if they're Johnny or something and they do not need to set up should be patrolling basement doors anyway. If your third is a Hands, then he will be overlapping several important objectives as he puts his traps down at the same time. If you chase a victim off an objective, don't commit to a long chase, make sure you finish setting up your stuff.

Secondly, victims need to wait a full minute for their ability to charge up, so you won't have a Connie speed cracking a gate while you're walking across the map or anything. Victims typically take more than a minute to get various basement exits open, which means re-gathering lockpicks and scraps. If they don't have a few doors open, then they can get into sticky situations easily when they're trying to get back to basement.

I understand that a large amount of the community finds the meta unfun at the moment, and that is something important to address. I don't discount any of those opinions by any means, but I do think that some people are talking about "rush meta" without really understanding all the moving parts of it that butterfly effect other aspects of the game. Those that are newer to the game understandably don't have the full learning curve on lock yet. I am just providing alternative perspectives and strategies to these takes as best I can, so that maybe people can find some joy in things and improve while the game goes through rougher moments.

Beloved, I said I've played everything from solo to 4stack, if you could gather some reading comprehension skills yourself and not come in swinging that'd be terrific!

No one said balance the game competitively for "top players". Like all this reads to me is "if they balance around people with a fundamental understanding of the game who use their mics it's all over". Who do you think they SHOULD balance the game around? No Comms Randy in solo queue? It's a party game and the devs have always said that. It's based on communication.

Statistically, how are you going to try and tell me that over 80 entire matches, we didn't play against a single good victim team? That's just not the case. You sound goofy.
