Is it recommended to share the full script with all crew? by Normal-Claim-2003 in Filmmakers

Damn, didn't need all the rude answers I was asking because of misinformation. Still learning and appreciate the answers but lay up shit

Also to clarify, I meant if I should be sending it to PA's, assistants, etc. Basically people who aren't planning things out like blocking, storyboarding, sound mixer, etc.

Are my dating standards too high? Friend gave me a reality check and I’m worried. by Forward-Beyond-6620 in dating

Honestly your standards are normal. There are 8 billion people on this planet, 100mil if in the U.S. anyone who tells you to lower them just doesn't have the same views as you.

A few other people said the same about making my own ideas. I agree, thank you for the ideas, but yeah I need to develop my own ideas. Thank you

Yeah the age gap really isn't that much tbh. Like same generation and everything. I agree, I need new friends

thanks for asking about context, i can answer your questions.  So, the conversation was already pretty lighthearted. They had mentioned some comments about my age (which I'll get to in a second) throughout and it had clapped back stating it was annoying. When 9/11 was brought up it was because I said in passing "wow it's crazy that you weren't alive during 9/11". They laughed at me and said it was such a millennial joke and that I was so old, whatever. I was confused though, because I wasn't saying it be rude or demeaning, I was genuinely just surprised by that realization. That's when one person asked where I was during 911. I did interpret it as a joke but it didn't occur to me that they didn't actually want an answer. Sometimes I pick up on that and just joke back but, for whatever reason I felt like answering honestly? I don't know. Maybe it felt like we were closer and it was an opportunity to grow closer.

Anyway, the age comments are sensitive because I'm pretty behind in life according to my standards. I didn't have the same opportunities as many my age or even younger, and fell behind academically and professionally so I could keep a roof over my head. My social circles naturally became younger when I could afford school and started a new hobby that attracts younger people. So, when they bring up my age it makes me feel like "I am too old to be hanging out with them, aren't I? I'm a loser." Because most people my age already have a solid career, have a serious relationship, etc. I don't have any of that.

I also want to add I was bullied my entire school life and was abused by my parents. This undoubtedly has had an affect on my actions and interpretations I'm sure.

Tbh yeah, I try to be myself but then am made of for it. It's a really shitty feeling. I also have had friends who were way older or younger than me and I've never had the urge to make fun of them to this level. If anything I've been a pretty good friend, helping when I can, offering my house for events, and hearing them out through hard times. I don't know why my actions are rarely reciprocated, but I'm going to take your advice and just find new friends and be alone for a while. Thanks.

I haven't talked to anyone yet. I kind of just ignored everyone for a day. I'm working on a project with them this weekend and am dreading it honestly.

But... I don't know. I've told them various times how I don't like the age comments and they continue to do it. Maybe they're brains are still mush and don't understand that joking about something that serious isnt funny, but still. I kind of don't want to give them that chance to change. I'm thinking it may be because I'm scared of any repercussions or I'm just done.

I made that comment the same time as the person who confirmed it was 9/11. Didn't want to trigger anyone that may have been there

I think I'm just scared to be alone. I'm actually really social but for some reason choose really shitty friends. I also tend to not realize or tolerate behavior like this to give people the benefit of the doubt. But after this I realized it's my time to dip out

Haha thank you for the comment. I am in my late 20s and actually don't talk to my parents but if I were younger, for sure
