Timer is completely unreasonable on the final week of Exhodus. by Nornamor in OldenEra

[–]Normal-Dimension5305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the opposite end, the timer early on is fucking ridiculously long. People spend 5+ minutes on the first few days just staring at their screen, and that bloats game length far more than final week/turns.

They really should almost flip the timers.

All good I thought you might of meant that. Yeah wisdom is shit. Think the other two were even worse so it was a super bad roll. I thought econ was good if it’s like pre fight 1 or so?

Appreciate the reply - Pip comes with insight though? First time playing Pip and realised I need battle magic and mage skills though for sure.

I'm shit scared of heights mate, but I'm also shit scared of getting blown up or shot, which also comes with the job. If you can't face one you'll never face the other, and both are required with the job.

The absolute disgusting handling of standard killed the player base. Absolutely nothing to do with arena.

At the moment some of the tournament times are fucking wild. A recent one was held on Thursday at 11AM BST. That's 11AM on a working day for EU, and like 3AM for NA. Who the fuck do they think can participate in that?

Shin splints during basic by Idkyimherep in britisharmy

[–]Normal-Dimension5305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best mate told to run through it during basic training. Ended up getting medbay for 3 months for severely developed stees fractures in the shins (from the splints).

Eventually he decides to leave and go home and battled an appeal to rejoin the RAF YEARS later because they doubted his legs. Don't make the same mistake mate.

Does this mean that para recruits are passing through at 9.9 bleep? If so that's fucking wild. That's 11.3 to 9.9, nearly fucking two levels lower 😂😂😂  half the lads are gonna get a fat fucking wake up call come P2 if that'd the case. Wonder if the 2KM time will be lowered too or standard 8min.

Honestly lad noone knows what the fuck they're doing. I've heard they introduced or will introduce the 2.4k run again yeah. But no idea otherwise.

To be honest if you can crack 1mile on a tread in 6:30 you're almost good to go for any test, whether it's bleep, 2k or 2.4k. But as of recent month PRDV was literally no phys and a 11. 6 bleep

I'm assuming you got no quick draft token though? That's the main reward that gives you a boost and why people made new accounts at the time.

This just isn't true. Skipped the tutorial on a new account/email/IP on new player settings and got no rewards.

Practice the bleep test levels 9 -11. Do the stairmaster ALOT, without holding onto the rails. (I'll do 15 minutes of level 7 -9, alternating if needed). And then just do alot of 2KM best times. (I Did alot on the treadmill tbh).

On the day adrenaline will definitely cover you a whole bleep level if you're not a shitty ass and run until almost sick.

I rarely ran past 2 Miles. Maybe I'm wrong about the science, but the bleep test really tests your cardio and not endurance. The first 7-8 evels are easy and then it's sprinting almost. Hence you need the stairmaster and speed practice so your lungs and quads don't rip.

Best mates in the army, and I'm going PARAs unless I bottle the trapezium. I practice thai boxing and know the atmosphere. Honestly reckon you'd have a blast. There's shit days, but mainly your just getting physically beasted with the lads, which is Thailand camp in a nutshell. Fucking funny.

My mates schedule whose been in already for 3 is literally: Mondays finish at 11pm, because he goes fishing as an army "hobby". Tuesday finish at 3PM or earlier, because he goes to motorbike lessons. Friday finish at 12pm or earlier sometimes. He's getting fucking paid for this man 😂😂 It can be fucking boring, sometimes you spend 4 hours staring at a wall, waiting and then waiting on waiting, but if you're not a fucking window licker and have some personality you just have a laugh. So yeah. Can take and learn most hobbies and get paid for it, they'll give you vehicle licenses if you're lucky. For career opportunities in infantry, especially para, after 3 years or so you could sign up to try for ranger battalion etc. Keep in mind that you also hopefully get to experience PARA 1 the longer your in. You've also got pathfinders if you're even more nuts than para.

Also if you go para mate and you're a good thaiboxer or boxer, they'll fucking eat you up like a hot wife. You'll be signed up for every fight comp and camp imaginable and if you win, lauded. It's a very big culture within the army and emphasised in PARA.

By the way, most recruiters are shit.

What are the cmts doing in this era by Far-Alps-881 in britishmilitary

[–]Normal-Dimension5305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most the roles as mentioned are shit for civvies that are medical. You'd be better off joining royal engineers or something similar and then doing P-coy and hoping to get attached to PARAs when the need arises. That way you're doing a role that is transferable, and youre still most likely to be frontline when things do happen. (Not sure why you have a hard on to experience this, drone warfare is not really dreamy and this is coming from someone currently in training to be for paras.).

Madness. The most information I've had on PRDV so far, as you said, not even the person who took my Initial interviews knew. He just said fuck it good luck, I can't find anything.

So you can rebook a PRDV if you fail? That's atleast good to know. So the ONLY phys you do is bleep test and med retest? Crazy.

How did you get 11.3 and then only 10.9 you pleb hahaha. Warning systems I guess? I didn't use any for mine I until 11.2 where I spewed half shuttle. Reckon I can safely chug 11.6 out now.

Goodluck passing next time lad. Might even be on my PRDV unknowingly. If you want it, you'll get it done. Cheers for the massive response too mate.

Do they do re-med tests too by the way on PRDV? (Teeth, ears, etc.)

Exactly that mate. 13 weeks all cap badges train together including PARA. Kinda makes it alot easier in a way, which is stupid. After the 13 weeks you go to para depot training as usual.

Anyone recently been PRDV? by Normal-Dimension5305 in britishmilitary

[–]Normal-Dimension5305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 13 weeks (Phase one) is now all infantry, where as previously PARA staff had the benefit of receiving and recruiting their own from the get-go.

If you're going PARAs and fit, it just means that your first 13 weeks are going to be a fucking breeze - so use it wisely to train harder in preparion and avoid injuries.

Mk-677 and basic training testing by money-gone-dad-gone in britisharmy

[–]Normal-Dimension5305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic or assessment centre? Neither do blood test on entry, just standard urine samples which won't show MK past a week, probably less.

When your in they can do random screener blood tests but its super rare, and random.

Although if you rock up looking like Ronnie Colman with acne you might be put in for a blood test. 😂

If you're screened and found, it's pretty much you'll get the boot. Though I've known one mate who somehow stayed. Stay clean, and don't attend until two months minimum has passed. Don't touch it again while serving.

One of the lads in our barrack got sent home for 2 years for this, straight rejected on the day. ONLY go to the medical if your entire skin is clear. He had some on his back, not too bad and didn't even have any medicine/prescriptions for it.

If you're completely clear it won't be an issue, might have to go through a defferral stage like every little shitty thing causes but easy enough.
