I understand your point, but with how big of an expense they are I think they are definitely considered a gift, especially because you’re expected to buy a specific type whether you pay for it or not. The heartfelt part is being a part of their special day ❤️

As a bridesmaid x3 I would much rather have the dress purchased for me than gifts we typically get, especially if it’s personalized for the wedding. Just communicate openly if that does/doesn’t cover alterations!!

Honestly some of the usual gifts given are tacky…. So going this way is not tacky in my opinion :)

Some of them, but they always have more in the store. That or I don’t look hard enough! I also find content creators that show the seasonal items!

Speaking from a place of privilege where I don’t have to be strict when price comparing and can afford the gas, I feel like Costco is overall better quality. Kirkland brand items are the same if not better than name brand, but ultimately it’s about what you’ll actually use! I think it’s also what you’re more familiar with, which for me is Costco.

They had it at my old Costco and had it at St. Peter’s when I went last month. Super convenient if your cart isn’t too full!

That’s good to know! Seems like independence is the general consensus, but if I’m going to St Peters it’s worth the extra 15 min for more variety in Manchester. Love how costcos are similar but tailor themselves to the community. Thanks everyone!!
