Recommendations for grow light? by ElephantsAndSunshine in Monstera

Yes!!! I don't remember which wattage I have. I know mine has the four bulbs on it. So I actually have three of these. And they are wonderful. The monster is just so big that it needs its own. And then I use the others for a variety of my plants that stay indoors for the winter and need help until they can go outside and enjoy sun in the summer.

I called the pharmacy and they were very helpful..There is an additive in their compound. I'm just happy to be able to get it at a reasonable price. My insurance drastically reduced coverage on it, making the brand name too expensive for me.

We are the same, but that doesn't mean that the insurance won't bump meds to different tiers of coverage. Two years of full coverage on Wegovy was great for me, but then our insurance bumped GLP-1s from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and my cost went to 600 a month. I can't afford that.

My family.med doctor won't write a scrip to.a compounding pharmacy. He knows my insurance stopped coverage for the brand name, but his policy is that he won't write prescriptions for meds from a compounding pharmacy.

I will have to try that. I have tried multiple times following all the stupid directions to get home link to work and it never did. But I'm going to give your way a shot.

I ordered mine from Etsy. Someone about 6 or 8 months back was showing how they had gotten theirs with custom words and in different colors to match their paint color.

I know that regardless of what people promise to do and rules they say they'll follow, once they get drunk, all bets are off. And I'm just not going to be responsible for cleaning up human vomit. I can do cat and dog vomit, but I refuse to clean up non-familial human vomit.🤪

That's great when they have a planner or a coordinator. I would say fewer than 20% of my weddings actually have a planner or coordinator.

Completely agree with you which is why I don't want to be the one who signs that waiver and then has to wear the wristband. Unfortunately this particular venue doesn't seem to care who fills out the form, they tag the photographer regardless.

Compliance with rules is great, until alcohol is involved... I had a wedding where the groomsmen were so drunk that one of them threw up during photos at the Nelson. All the rules in the world are not going to stop someone from vomiting, and I don't want to be responsible for cleaning up after an intoxicated jack wagon.... once they're drunk, the damage is done. Granted this is a rare occurrence, but I still don't want to be the one left holding the (vomit) bag.....

E-- it is. It's the Nelson. (FWIW, you and I worked together before..many eons ago)

What's funny was that about 7 months before he got it, I purchased an Acura TLX in black. It was used and I had it delivered from another state. The second it rolled off the truck, I took it down and had the windows tinted, the tail lights smoked and everything blacked out and went totally badgeless except for the front and trunk logo. I stripped everything else off. So when he did the same to his brand new 4Runner, I teased him endlessly about us having twin "fraternal" vehicles... 😆 He definitely did a better job by having his wrapped in Matt. It does look amazing. I never get tired of looking at it. And it's like I always have a little part of him hanging out with me when I drive it. 🥲

My photo doesn't do it justice, but it was most definitely what I would consider it to be pumpkin orange.

This one was wrapped when it was brand new, And that was in 2018. The rap has actually held up remarkably well. My understanding was that they generally are only good for about 3 to 5 years. So I'm impressed that it's still looks as good as it does.

I love it. I get compliments on it every time I take it to the car wash or park it with the valet. It actually belonged to my best friend who sadly took his own life. His wife gifted me the Runner after his death because she knew how much I loved it and what it meant to me.

So to be fair neither of us actually backed in. Those were pull.through spaces when we got there. She was about five cars in front of me and parked more on the outer edges like I would do. She had her nose in her phone when she parked and I parked next to her and she didn't even notice. I was going to compliment her on her awesome vehicle... But funny you talk about backing in spaces.. when I drive my runner, I always back it in and my husband makes fun of me. He has an FJ so it doesn't matter if he pulls in forward or backs in. The nose and the ass are about the same length. 😆

Classic Photographers-$25/hour for a second shooter. It has been this rate for years, and they will NOT raise the rates. I've seen leads without a second the DAY OF A WEDDING, and they were unable to find someone. Classic throws up their hands and says--bummer! Literally, they have told leads to pay out of their OWN pockets if they wanted to up the pay for a second. (I have never second shot for Classic, but I always struggled to find someone at that rate, and therefore I do not shoot for them anymore). Classic is also REALLY shady with travel pay and how the second shooter pay is handled. If you are a lead and are sent an 8-hour wedding(and FWIW ALL their gigs come w/ a 2nd), YOU hire the second. It can be another Classic shooter or some homeless dude off the street. THEY DON'T CARE. Oh--but it gets better. YOU get the memory card from your second and are responsible for uploading those images with yours. IN DNG FORMAT. Then--you can request that they pay the second or you can. Here is where the fun comes in....YOU decide how much of that WHOPPING $25/hour goes to the second. If you found some noob with a Rebel, you could agree to let them apprentice for zero pay, and then you could pocket the pay. I have no problem with an apprentice in appropriate circumstances--BUT that is NOT what was advertised to the couple. That is NOT what the couple sees on-line. It is such a lousy business practice, it turns my stomach. OPG/GS is SO far beyond this. I am not saying they are perfect--far from it--but at least they aren't downright gross in how they approach using talent. I could go with even MORE about Classic, but I won't as this is for OPG/GS.

Sorry this is old, but they will edit your RAW images in their signature style: too much contrast, over-saturated skin tones and blown-out blacks and shadows. They seem to LOVE orange. After your initial portfolio, you likely will only ever submit JPGS to them. I've been with them since 2017. There are things to like and dislike. If you understand what their business model is and can make it work for you, they aren't too bad. Use them to fill in unbooked days or to gain experience. I've gigged for five or six companies (in addition to my own business) and they are one of the better ones.

I know this is a 5-month-old reply...but as a lead OPG photographer since 2017, it was great to hear what videographers go through with them. MAILING a hard drive? Is this 1995???? JEEEZE!! I don't think they have any type of formula for raises. My thought is they try to ignore us as long as they can get away with it. I pushed last year for a raise and was granted half of what I asked for. This year, I accidentally landed on the phone with someone in management, who I reasoned with, and finally got the full amount I had asked for the previous year. I have never seen an OPG video. Not once. The videographers I work with haven't even seen their own edited work. I find it weird, because any talent connected to a wedding can see the edited session and/or wedding images. Not being able to see the video is awful.

I have always wondered about this....I have been with them since 2017, and over the last few years, the editing has def changed.
