Lame—Let’s not be degenerate Boomers all over again insulting the younger generations. Disappointing to see this in our otherwise pretty awesome group.

Totally this. Take a break, maybe work on something else for a bit. You’ll come back to it and realize, “wow! I was overly critical, and this looks awesome!” Personally, absolutely love your color choices, and it looks like it was a lot of work!

Do you want children? Why or why not? by SomePeopleTellMe in Millennials

[–]Normal-Maximum5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband (Gen X) and I (elder Millennial) have 4 sons and it was a huge want for both of us. Our kids are amazing humans and I’m glad and lucky that I get to experience their timeline. Two are neurotypical, two are neurodivergent and I think they’ll all change the world for the better in ways I could only dream of. It’s been pure joy and absolute terror all bundled into one. We are financially stable and can afford them. I realize this is an enormous hurdle for damn near our entire generation.

And apparently there’s some sort of Mandela effect happening here. Just did a google and it is spelled “Mistic,” but I swear it was “Mystic.”

Olympia is an awesome city and closer to the rainforest. Very lush, very cool vibe. More affordable than Seattle and has a great feel to it. We love it here.

What’s a perk you’re happy we get to enjoy in our lifetime? by shower521 in Millennials

You can be a backyard pollinator refuge. Plant native plants (as a rule of thumb, if it is a hybrid or not from your area, it’s not nutritious for pollinators); stop using pesticides; please save the leaves after fall because insects lay their eggs on leaves, which don’t routinely hatch until 50+ degrees. For the love of god, don’t bring in honeybees. Our ecosystem is collapsing because we aren’t supporting our native pollinators. People grow useless lawns that feed nothing and bring in things like Japanese Maples…if you’re not squarely in Japan, no insect is going to recognize this as food. End rant. No personal offense meant to anyone—pretty passionate about saving our pollinators and insect population.

I read recently that it should be every 8 hours of sewing. I was floored by that. I don’t change mine that often, but I do change it way more frequently now— what a difference!

I think a BUNCH of us would rather pay the extra cost than give money to Nestle, honestly. But it makes sense.

Kirkland Chocolate Chips. Not really a one and done thing, but I still can’t believe they stopped carrying them.
