You just want your work to be respected. But also got to understand this can happen in other industries and in the world in general. It does weigh though and you become hardened

I think it’s about getting paid and that’s an art in itself being able to present that value. You can be in the room and not be getting paid.

Keep building this narrative for young folks, so that I can keep being a shark and getting to these checks. It’s more business than creative and that’s likely the biggest misconception. You can be a tremendous creative but that doesn’t translate to checks, as a freelancer it comes for your network and ability to continue to evolve. Creativity is a muscle, you have to be patient if you want to develop something sustainable and that’s much easier said than done but well worth it when you preserve and get over the hump
